Nice, well-maintained older hotel. Three big malls are very close by (two of them are right next to the hotel.) Also, conveniently located to the Kali Mas river, whose banks are nice for strolls and just general hanging out. From what I saw, this area is probably the best in the city for tourist interests. Historical sites, restaurants, etc. The hotel is big, rooms are big. Just kind of old, but for me that was the cool part. It’s nice to see how much better things used to be just a few decades ago.

As far as value for money, this is a great choice. The facilities are old so a bit more difficult to keep super clean. Also could use some additional electrical outlets so customers do not have to unplug the lamps to plug in chargers, etc. They do have a pool that is clean but old. It took me 2 days of occasional walks to find the pool and the pool can be crowded in early morning. I like the mix of clientele which is national and international. I would stay here again.

Decent stay

I was given a smoking room when it was stated non-smoking in my booking. Luckily the room did not reek of smoke although it did when i step outside. The staff did apologise to me and offered to change room once a non-smoking room is available. The condition of the gym/fitness centre was quite poor. Both treadmill machines were down and the stationary bikes were old. The pool was decent. The room was comfortable but I had some issues with the towels and sheets, as stains were visible. All in all, it was a fairly modest place to stay and I would still recommend this hotel to non-fussy stayers.

Great value for the money... spacious rooms with business table separately... cleanliness and daily room cleaning, good food at the restaurant... good for business travel , or to stay and see around Surabaya, all positive experience except for the WiFi...lobby WiFi had no issues, WiFi repeatedly get disconnected once inside the room...and had difficulty in connecting..if not for that ... great, stay👍

The room given was a big room. Breakfast was very chaotic as the hotel was hosting a big group during my stay and there was not enough food for all. The Gym and the Swimming pool looks dated and not very inviting.

Book if the price stay low

Was joining a sunrise trip to mount bromo and leaving for Yogyakarta the next day by train. So really just stayed for a short rest at the evening. Location is good - next to mall, close with train station. Condition is not the best but expected given the very low price, also very acceptable for a short stay. One major down side is that some room is facing the lobby, and despite we were staying at the top floor the noise from the lobby is still quite notable. Overall quite ok for our short stay given the price.

For my 1 night stay, I changed 3 rooms in total. Couldn't find a electric point for charging my laptop and mobile. Housekeeping told me to plug out table lamp and use power point, leaving the room darker (it was already pretty fun). The toilet flush doesn't work very well in the 1st room, also pillows looks old and out of shape (believe me, you won't want to touch it!). Requested for change of pillow and they offer me to change to a better room. 2nd room was not tidied and in total mess (I took picture but i will not post it here). 3rd room is a little better but it was a really a nightmare for me and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
