"Room was clean but hot, due to the weather, but no air con. Bathroom spacious and clean. Full English breakfast was delicious and filling. Friendly staff at all times. Could do with tidying up around the back, bins and old metalwork etc. But the front was very pretty. We will stay there again and highly recommend it."

"The hotel is very clean and ideally located, with shops nearby and an adventure centre with cinema and other entertainment facilities just across the road. We booked a family room and it was great, very spacious and clean. I requested a cot for my baby and it was in the room when we got there. The swimming pool and other facilities were wonderful, and we all enjoyed it. The bar/restaurant was great too and they were showing the World Cup final on the big screen which was brilliant for my husband and 10 year old who are football mad. The staff were lovely, talked us through the self check in and out. They also assisted very promptly when we realised our shower had no bodywash, just shampoo and handwash. There were a lot of positives and we’d definitely book again. The only things that let us down a bit was that the room was at the far end of the corridor so there was a lot of walking to get to it. It seems the closest exit was blocked off for some maintenance work, which we aren’t holding against them as it is temporary. It was very warm in the night and there was no where to get water, which for me as a breastfeeding mum was disappointing. I tried to message the team on the designated platform, I even went down to reception in the early hours to try and get some water but to no avail. I assumed there’d be a water dispenser or a vending machine at least. Otherwise a good stay, seems they are fixing a few things in the hotel which is promising. I would highly recommend"

"You arrive at what is obviously a very clean and tidy property to the welcome of the very friendly and helpful staff. The room vas very spacious, clean with a good selection of tv channels. The evening meal menu has a good number of varied choices and my meal was faultless. The breakfast was not extraordinary but perfectly adequate and for the cost of the room very good value throughout. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here and I do not normally do so. The next time I need accommodation in the area I know my first choice!"

"If you want a boutique, luxury hotel The Saracens Head is not for you and you are not for the Saracens Head. If you want an authentic 'staying at an inn' experience with good food, a wide selection of ales and ciders and friendly courteous staff then you won't find better. From the friendly welcome at the bar to exchanging photos of the night sky with the lady cleaning my room I was made to feel right at home. Being a bit dishevelled in places merely added to the charm of my stay and my spacious room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view over the village square. The richness of the clientele with diners in one bar and tradesmen in another made you realise this was a place serving the whole community as well as taking in strangers such as myself. The food was so good I could not even get a table on my first night. If you are having a few nights in the Cotswolds you could do far worse than base yourself in Highworth and enjoy some genuine local offerings before heading to the more well known tourist sites. Thanks to all the Saracens Head staff for making my stay so pleasurable,"

"Lovely country pub, beautifully & tastefully updated, short/ simple but great menu at mid pricing. Very friendly staff just a bit slow/ distracted at checkin and not much information on breakfast etc or local places to go. Room a little dated , was originally nicely done up 15 years ago, but now some stained grout and broken sink in bathroom, and wallpaper/ lamps need a makeover. Still loved my stay- comfortable, safe, peaceful. Nice shower, fluffy large towels, nice shower gel. Provided kettle/ tea/ coffee, fan, tv. WiFi a bit patchy. Had all I wanted! Would stay again."
