Kind peoples and easy to use perries
It was comfort and filled with kind peoples. They have very clean share bathroom. Futhermore it is close to warf of perrie, so you can use perrie to circular quay in short time.

No AC but otherwise excellent value, ferry literally down the street, good food, grocery, pubs and parks all walking distance.

Great location, very clean, but the shower door and bathroom door were two close together and made exiting the shower or bathroom difficult.

Des efforts ont été faits sur les équipements mais il manque de plus en plus de vaisselle. C'est un peu compliqué pour cuisiner. L'utilisation importante de détergent chloré indispose. La situation géographique de l'hôtel avec l'obligation d'utiliser le ferry rend le séjour agréable.

Spacious room, comfortable bed, good facilities in the room. Close to Neutral Bay shops, Kirribilli, Milsons Point, easy to walk to shops, trains, ferries. Bit noisy as the property is on the corner of two roads, and my room was right at the front of the building. Room could do with a freshen up, carpet was worn / torn in a few places. Otherwise a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Check out the neighbourhood
The rooms were as expected, adequate and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional. Location was very pleasant, make sure you checkout your surrounds. There were only 2 negatives, parking, 6 spots is reasonable but it requires other guests to park well, during our stay one of the guests did not leave room to access the park, maybe lines are required.. 2nd issue was that on arrival the rooms stunk, this was fixed by opening the windows and airing out.

Location! Location! Location! A very short walk from Neutral Bay Wharf to Neutral Bay Lodge. Perfect spot to stay & very convenient to jump on a bus from the wharf to Neutral Bay Junction for dining & shopping. Would highly recommend.

Close to ferry, easy walk. Reasonable Price. I have a stuffed knee so stairs were an issue, especially narrow stairs down to kitchen.

We list our brother during this stay.The owner was fantastic,she fixed immediately some things that broke during our stay ,and was so comforting. Lovely place with a very attentive owner .

Good for one night.
This was a basic hotel with a basic price, so no surprises. We had room 7, which was a small queen room upstairs, with large ensuite. The bed could have been a bit better, but fine for one night. Fan heater useful for warmth. TV worked fine. Plenty of hot water. We had no issues with noise or kitchen smells. Limited street parking. Really close walk to 2 restaurants- Mum & Dad's, and Jaggis Indian. We ate at Jaggis, which had really excellent food. In the am, walk to the wharf downhill for brekky at Thelma & Louise Cafe near the ferry wharf. Overall a pleasant overnight stay, for the money paid.

I did not like it n otvworthbthe price. Looks more li I e an sir bmb. I had to brace the cold to go to yhe toilet at night. Toilet not clean. Tv did n ot work. Was force to check out before 10 am. Did not sleep well.

Yes it’s an older property, however it’s dirty and noisy. Paint peeling off walls, mould in the bathroom, we had a silverfish in the bed sheets, and there is very limited staffing. For the $160 we paid, it was overpriced for what we got. Also next to no security with room keys being left outside the building once staff had gone home. While I understand they are not 24/7 staffed, anyone could have seen the basket there and known who was staying at the hotel or due to check in and let themselves into the building. Would not recommend.

After hours checkin was easy though wasn't explained before we arrived. Ensuite bathroom was very small but clean and functional. No air conditioning but fan was supplied. Some cooking smells permeated from kitchen area on floor below. Great location a few minutes walk from Neutral Bay ferry wharf and bus stop. Overall reasonable value for central Sydney. Recommend Mum & Dads Place restaurant just down road towards ferry. Very friendly great Lamb pack takeaway for $28 easily feeds 2.

Ideal location: ferry ride across the harbour from Circular Quay takes 15 mins and what a view! Free sightseeing trip of the bridge, the Opera House, the Quays, and northern bays. Lodge is just 5 mins walk up hill from the Neutral Bay wharf. ( Plus nice cafe by wharf for breakfast.) Don't be put off by the Lodge's shabby paintwork and carpet: my room was scrupulously clean, and the bed linen was pristine. Bed was new and very comfortable. Room had everything I needed. Ensuite bathroom was small but new, and shower was great. There was a fridge, big wardrobe with safe, floor fan, and TV (which I didn't try). Very quiet street, and staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. I'll be back!

A hostel, and the king room with ensuite doesn't share any facilities but it's still a hostel room. The mattresses are pretty well-worn, no air con and the room is really humid, you can hear all the footsteps from upstairs and they make the fire sprinkler pipe rattle against the fluro light, and the road noise is pretty bad. The staff were really nice and we were able to check in early, which was a big help. We stayed in room #1 (all the pictures online are from other rooms). It's just up the road from a good Indian restaurant, a good cafe, and the ferry.

Basic Lodge in amazing location.
A nice little lodge located in the north of Sydney. Location is ideal for short commute to the city centre. Local ferry and bus links nearby but also within walking distance of Harbour Bridge. Small public beach nearby. On site parking for up to 6 vehicles. Often full so park there early if you can. Street parking also available but you need to move your vehicle every hour up until 10pm. Hotel was clean but basic. Room could have been doing with a coat of paint, but really just for aesthetic reasons. Small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities provided with kettle. Ironing board and iron. Shared bathroom/showers very clean. Cooking facilities and access to kitchen/dining area if required.
