Very poor experience - dirty, unsafe, room already occupied.
When we came in to check in there were police at the front desk handling what seemed to be a domestic dispute, so four different people were scrambling to get us checked in while dealing with them. At this time I confirmed how to get our cash-only (no cards accepted) $100 deposit back, which they said they’d have on hand when we came up and returned our receipt at checkout for the refund (incorrect info).
The room they put us in had a man working in there (because it didn’t have locks or a fire alarm) and he asked how long we were going to stay in the room, we said until Sunday (it seemed he thought we would only be there a few hours?), when we said Sunday he continued to work for an additional 15 minutes then decided hed come back Sunday and finally left our room.
Two of our room’s lights didn’t work, it was dirty from the man’s work equipment being on the counter, our bed and the debris from the floor.
When I went to get the deposit at checkout Sunday morning they said they “couldn’t get in the safe with the deposits” and the manager wouldn’t be there until Monday to give the deposit back. They said they were unreachable and then stated I should have told them I wanted to check out on my last day and pointed to a new sign they had added after my check in.
I don’t know who told them they could use the word Quality to describe themselves, but it was certainly by someone who doesn’t know the meaning of the word.
