"Wonderful experience. Clean and comfort room. Bonus point: The hotel offered paid guided walking tour visiting local artisans. Really enjoyed visiting and chatting with the artisans with many being the 3rd or 4th generation running the business. They also offer paid class on how to make a local traditional pastry - puffed brown sugar pastry. I really enjoyed my stay. Tainan is a charming city. I will be back. "

"Shangri-La Tainan — although the facilities are somewhat dated compared with other five-star Shangri-La hotels, the staff are outstanding and the service is highly professional. "Spacious room that is clean and modern. Toilet still maintains the old school granite top, but nonetheless clean. Offered 2 pcs of bread/pastry every evening for guests, while stock last. A nice gesture by hotel. Great that it located across Tainan train station, jus a few mins by foot."
