Not too hard to find; good signage at the turnoff from the main walkway of the medina! As with most medina riads, you will need to walk in from the wall gate so be able to manage your luggage. "Hasan made sure we were well taken care of. He helped with luggage carrying toand from our check in and check out. He ensured breakfast was ready on time and even packed and gave us breakfast on the day we were leaving since we left super early. "This is just an amazing Riad! I stayed here about 6 years ago and had such a wonderful time that I had to come back. Mr Jim and his lovely wife are such fantastic hosts and such great company. The location is perfect over looking the old city, the rooms have been updated and are now even more impressive! The food and service is top notch! "Nice place has a lot of potential. Took more money than what agreed through Expedia. Not the most helpful of people ask for ice on a couple of occasions to no help. The fridge is terrible for keeping anything close to cold. Asked for an iron but to no help. They do not change the bedsheets on every occasion of housekeeping. Get your money exchanged else where they don’t give a good rate. They think customer service is a smile only. For a four star hotel it behaves as a two star. "

Moroccan Architecture and Traditional Stay

"I am happy with my stay , I was really looking for a traditional Moroccan place to stay and Ryad Alya did not disappoint. The architecture is very traditional and I can feel the local tradition in my stay. They also served the best traditional Moroccan breakfast and Idris was so nice to wait for me for my late check in and also for providing me good breakfast himself. I recommend this place in your next trip and they also have a transfer from the airport or from the train to this place."

"This riad was the highlight of our trip across Spain and Morocco. The wonderful management checked in with us ahead of our stay, arranged a local tour of the Medina (with Amine, who was terrific) and came out to meet us when we arrived and got a little lost. Everything about our stay was perfect, from the amazing decor to the high pressure shower to the delicious breakfast. Stay here if you can! "

"Wonderful, luxurious stay in the heart of the Old City of Fes. The staff was exceptional in every way. By dinner of our first day we were recognized and addressed by name. Nothing appeared to be any trouble. The Riad was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The dinning options were satisfying and ordering off menu was available (within reason). The front desk was helpful in arranging, city tours, drivers and guides. I would definitely stay here upon a future visit to Fes. "
