The property was okay for me because I didn't spend much time in the unit itself. I was there for the film festival so only used it as a place to sleep. The property is tired and needs maintenance.

Nicely done comfortable condo close to everything
A very nicely done comfortable condo in a great location. Walk to town, grocery store, gondola and across the street from the Coonskin lift! Indoor and outdoor hot tubs were a nice benefit.

Overall good, but surprise $$$$
Overall a good experience except that they sprung an additional $150 fees on us 2-weeks before the trip. I had the reservation for 7-months and they didn't mention ANY additional charges - Until 2-weeks before we checked in. They charged us extra for an insurance policy ($40 - or a $500 deposit fee on the credit card) and $25 a day for house cleaning. Note that they did NOT actually receive any house cleaning the entire time and it was a $100 fee (fine???) for the house cleaning when we left. Kind of a scam to charge $150 when you basically have no options to get another hotel since 7-months had lapsed since we paid in full.

Condo in Telluride
This was a 3 night stay in Telluride with our 6 year old granddaughter. The condo was roomy, but it was old and tired.. It made for a comfortable stay - we all had plenty of room for us to do things. The condo was conveniently located from the local supermarket and we were able to easily get provisions for us to have lunches and breakfasts in the condo. It was close to the town and the gondola to Mountain Village. All in all it made for a very satisfactory stay

Great location
Great location with easy walking access to downtown and gondola. Also, near grocery store and river. Only negative about the property was there was no patio or balcony to sit outside in private and enjoy the weather.

We came for Telluride Bluegrass festival. Great location, west of downtown, on shuttle line. Spacious unit, clean and comfortable.

Relaxing in Telluride
The condo was located close enough to gondola to walk to and if you didn't want to walk to it, you had easy access to the Galloping Goose public, free transportation. Lots of room to cook, shower, view mountains, etc.

Older condo complex in downtown Telluride
For the price, disappointing. No pool or hot tub. An older condo with multiple levels. Great view in town and close to restaurants and shopping.

Wonderful in Telluride
Loved this place - easy to check in. The parking was awesome! Only negative - Telluride had a 24 hour blackout and couldn't get in touch with anyone ever! There weren't any flashlights etc. would've liked someone to have returned my calls. Understand that the power outage was out of ordinary and everyone out of power - but there was never any follow up.

Very convenient location.
Nice to have a condo rather than a hotel with a dishwasher and washer dryer (especially since everything gets wet with the winter activities). The telluride lodge is where we stayed, and very convenient location right next to grocery store. A 5 minute walk to the gondola, but the galloping goose (free shuttle) stop is right by the parking lot. Would stay here again, although some of the units need a little TLC to bring them into the 21st century.

Good Location
Good location to downtown and gondola. We could see Bridal Veil Falls from our deck. Had EVERYTHING in the kitchen you would need. Stayed in the summer so had to have windows open to cool things off upstairs, but could hear ALL foot and street traffic all night.

Great location at west end of town, easy to walk to center of town to access stores and restaurants, gondola and walking trails. Quiet w great view of surrounding mountains. Spacious 2 bedroom w 3 floors providing plenty of privacy, each bedroom w own bathroom. Kitchen setup w full amenities. Cleaning staff came daily for trash and to provide new towels.

We were 6 friends and enjoyed our stay very much. The beds are comfortable and each had it's own bathroom.

Great property in the town of Telluride
Smooth check in. Catered to special request for parking and check out. clean and comfortable townhome. Perfect for 4 adults and 2 teenagers. Beautiful, updated kitchen was stocked with all of the basics. Master bathroom had a jet tub and steam shower that felt amazing after a day of skiing. 2 blocks from the grocery store or main street for shopping and restaurants. About 3 blocks from the gondola and ski lifts. Free shuttle picks up and drops off on the corner. Quiet location. Great staff.

Spacious outdated condo
Condo was spacious and comfortable for telluride town standards. Furnishing was a bit outdated, from the 1980's. Check in was abit of inconvenience. Be ware of cleaning fee of $25/day + 20%tax which come out to about $30 addition /day that gets added it on. A bit ironic considering the unit lacked cleaning to began with, the kitchen cabinets were filthy, layered with grimy oil film.

Great west-end location with views. Furnishings were a little dated but an excellent value for the area. Property has a full kitchen and garage parking, Convenient to shuttle. One detail, mentioned by others, is the lack of clarity of the 25.day housekeeping charge. Hotels reservation staff said it was included. Property management company said it was not.

Beautiful Mountain Village location
Check in office not staffed. Would have been nice to have some minor questions answered at check in, but picking up key and gaining access to unit was not a problem. Otherwise, the condo was very clean and we had a very enjoyable stay in Telluride

adequate, but don't get your hopes up...
pros: the price, location, and roominess of the 2-bdrm condo cons: internet did not work, tv reception very poor, hidden cleaning fee of $25/day definitely not a "luxury" property - old and a bit worn, but not unexpected for the price. this could have been fabulous, if everything worked properly and if the property managers invested in some of the niceties that travelers appreciate - including professional staff. most disappointing was the horrific deck that faced the interior of the property, with smells and noises from the restaurant next door. a broken rusted old deck chair included - ha! we were jealous of the neighbors with their balcony where they could sit outside and enjoy the magnificent beauty of Telluride.

Hotels.com has not updated their site. The san Sophia is now under another name (Aspen tree inn) and owner. The condo we were put in was clean and well equipped, but decorated in the 80's. Since we were only there one night, it wasn't a big deal. But definitely not luxurious or as pictured.

Buyer Beware of Misleading Photos
Our Major complaints: 1) The address given 300 West Colorado is the property managment and the name is Silver...not San Sophia so it was a little confusing 2) The PHOTOS listed on the Hotels.com website ARE NOT THE PROPERTY YOU BOOK! Think more of a 1970's chain of ski condos/lodge. 3) When we called to notify management that they put us in the wrong property we were told that they manage many properties and that the pictures may reflect these other properties on hotels.com. They did offer to put us in a new place however it was already 9:30 at night and our kids were exhausted. 4) We called earlier in the day to notify the management that we were going to be coming in late. They told us they would leave a package outside with our name on it. But failed to tell us where. The lighting was poor and we wasted alot of time trying to locate it. 5) They fail to mention on hotels.com that there is a daily cleaning fee. 6) Wireless passcode did not work POSITIVES: 1) It was very clean and they did provide towels 2) Hot tubs and saunas were nice 3) Close to town 4) If the pictures were accurate than we would not have been so upset at first. But when you are expecting an updated decor with flat screen tv's etc. and get a 1970's look it was a little shocking to say the least.

Not a great place to stay on a business trip.
The condominium was hot and stuffy with little or no air flow without the aid of the fan which was located in the living room when I arrived. On the 3nd night I couldn't keep the windows open due to a star wars movie they were playing in a nearby ampitheatre. Comparing the high cost to value I'll go elsewhere the next time around.

Great Place to Visit
Place was a real nice place, little maintence problems, closet door - broken hinge, (FIXED) screen door wouldn't slide,(FIXED but needs replaced) ventalation system poor, cold at night - very hot in the day. WI-FI was POOR and they knew it. I had to work each day and it was impossible to do work via the internet to my work computer - they said it was going to be reworked - Not there problem but the public transportation was a problem, they published dates and times and it was WRONG. In the daytime the walk from downtown is nice but not at 11 PM. We thought they allowed pets and they didn't.....

False Advertising. Luxury Condo is a joke!!!
Extemely disappointed. Only positive is that the place was a decent size. However, unit 538 at the Telluride Lodge offered by the "San Sophia Luxury Condos" was anything but luxurious. Check in process easy and quick. The condo complex itself seemed to be marginally maintained from the outside. Our experience started when just getting into the condo was difficult due to a "tricky" deadbolt. Upon entering the condo a musty and unpleasant odor permeated the unit which persisted despite airing out the unit. In addition, this unit has not been updated since the 1980's. The teal green carpet was significanlty outdated, worn, and stained in multiple places. A free standing gas fireplace/stove stood on a tan and teal tiled hearth, also outdated. The living room furniture also extremely outdated and stained to the point where we were uncomfortable sitting on it. The kitchen had 2 extremely small mini-fridges, one of which was unusable due to frost. The outdated and worn furnishing theme persisted throughout the condo including carpeted bathrooms and tub/shower areas. Mostly disappointed by the false advertising with pictures of an obviously differnet condo and the suggestion that this was a luxury property. This place would qualify as a minimal frills condo at best. Asked by the staff at checkout about our stay we expressed our disappointment. Their comment was "Yeah, this unit is new to us and is pretty funky". Glad we stayed only one night and will never return or use San Sophia.

Gambled and won!
The website pictures and location are a little deceiving. After reading the reviews I think we got lucky with a really nice place. They put us in a 2 bedroom 3 bath condo with a loft. It was advertised as a 2 bedroom. Telluride lodge #536 was awesome, recently remodeled, great views, very spacious, very comfortable, great hot tubs in the common area, it was like being at home. Close to grocery store and lifts. It was so nice, my family just hung out there a lot! Plus we scored a great deal on expedia compared to the prices you normally pay in Telluride. We checked in around 11 am at silver star properties and they had all the paperwork and keys ready to go. Very easy and painless. I went to drop my keys off at checkout and walked in the office, yelled, but no one was there. I just left my keys on the desk and exited. So, is it a gamble because you don't know what you may end up with????

Terrible Service
Basically, Service from Silver Star "Luxury" properties was nonexistent. We left multiple phone messages asking simple questions such as "where is our parking pass?" and "should we take our skis into the condo, or is there outside storage" or "why won't the internet code work?" with NO response at all. No calls back. Ever. When I finally called the emergency cell phone number after two days with no internet, the person who answered said (very rudely) Well, WHAT is it that you WANT??? I couldn't believe that a company that purports itself to be a luxury service would be so terrible. We will never stay in a Silver Star property ever again. We travel to Telluride several times a year and have never had bad service like this before.

Happy Ending to a Rough Start
My understanding is San Sophia Luxury Condominium is only a marketing name for a property management company called Silver Star Luxury Properties. I was expecting a unit near or at the corner of Aspen Street & West Pacific. I had choose this location since it was a block from both the gondola and Main Street. Check in was a hassle since Silver Stars' office was closed when we arrived at 8:00pm. BUT..... there is a happy ending. We finally fiqured out their after hour arrangements for getting the keys. They placed us at the Telluride Lodge located directly across the street ( maybe 100 yards) from Chair 7 in a 3 bedroom / 4 bath newly remodeled unit. We had reserved a 2 bed / 2 bath. The steam shower was a nice bonus. We had a rental car so the extra 5 to 6 blocks to Main Street was not a problem. Plenty of room at a very reasonable rate. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

San Sofia "Luxury" Condos - buyer beware!
The accommodations were NOT as pictured. I should have known better, but lister/property management company should have to show photos from actual property. Location to Telluride ski lifts is great and very close. Location to town is a bit farther. No housekeeping service during stay, each property is very different, each unit in property is very different. Overall, disappointed with bait and switch.

Beautiful Views
The unit we stayed in, 536, was bueatiful and clean. The views were amazing. The location for skiing was great. We were really impressed.
