Unfortunately, this Mother’s Day weekend stay at the Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa will be our last after staying here the past 4 Mother’s Days.
From the moment we checked in, the experience started off poorly. The front desk staff was rude, dry, and completely lacked any kind of welcoming attitude. Our rooms weren’t ready yet, so we went across the street for lunch while we waited.
During that time, my toddler lost her wristband. When we returned and explained the situation, the staff demanded that I search through my personal belongings because they refused to give a replacement wristband. I explained multiple times that she is a child and it was simply lost. Instead of trying to help or offer a solution, we were told it “wasn’t their problem.”
At that point we had to ask for a manager just to get basic assistance. Thankfully the issue was eventually resolved, but the way the situation was handled was completely unacceptable, especially for a family resort charging premium prices.
Very disappointing experience and not the level of hospitality we’ve received in past years. Sadly, we won’t be returning."
