ADA rooms inadequate and lacking!! NO consideration to a woman of 93 years old in needing her room to be available. She was left to sitting in her wheelchair up until 1 min. to check in time of 3:00. Had called first thing in the morning when, "the housekeepers are just arriving", to request an hour early check-in for her, said we would even pay if there was an extra charge. Was told not guaranteed, check out is 11:00 (Why does that matter? I was asking to check in at 2, we arrived around 2:30). We ended up on the top floor, the last rooms to be cleaned I assume. Why couldn't the cleaning crew do that room first knowing there was a special need request? Why a special request due to handicap can't be considered is beyond me. Every other place we have stayed at (not from this chain) has been sensitive to her needs and accommodated with no issues.
Then there is the "ADA" room. The only thing ADA was the width of the door, which looked the same as all the others on the floor that were not ADA. There was NO grab bars and a low standard toilet (not the high profile type that is ADA compliant. My friend had to be helped up and off when she used the toilet because of this. OH, and the bathroom handle was not attached and comes of comes of when using (why did housekeeping not notice that when they cleaned the sink???). DISSAPOINTED!
