"Very mixed. Older part of the hotel is poor. Newer part of the hotel is nice. They are very different. Staff appear junior and little experience so ran into some issues that took time to resolve. Breakfast average. Location is excellent."

I later found out it’s an "on-request" service, but the staff failed to mention this at check-in. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and basic hygiene standards."

"It got off to a shaky start with my room not having a working safe, working tv, or working phone. Although the phone turned out to be because the whole phone system in the hotel was being upgraded. But I got hold of reception via the hotel whatsapp which was good and they sent up an engineer. They fixed the safe but couldn't fix the TV so they moved me to a new room and the rest of the stay was excellent. I really appreciated their help in trying to put things right. I think parts of the hotel look a bit tired like the ceiling in the pool room. Otherwise it was a really nice stay thanks"

"This is a beautiful hotel located next to a park. The front desk staff were excellent in sorting out an automated parking machine problem that could have been very inconvenient and resulted in an expensive parking fine. The food is excellent."

"The north-facing room was so cold that I didn't sleep the entire night, right before a long flight home. It was awful. I kept calling the front desk. You actually have to call the front desk to adjust your own thermostat! That is awful. She turned on a fan that kept blowing on my head, and I couldn't turn it off without calling her again! Then I kept asking her to turn up the heat, and she was saying "I'm turning it up to 23 degrees." But in the morning I found out that they aren't allowed to turn it up past 22 degrees. I don't know why she was lying to me all night. The room never heated up. By morning it was 21 degrees and I had been shivering all night. Also, in the other room we had, a suite with an extra bed, the bed squeaked all night. So the rest of the family did not sleep the entire night either."
