Stayed as solo traveller for 2 nights. Single room small but had all the facilities required and was spotlessly clean and warm, and ideally positioned just around the corner from the town centre. Breakfast very good with plenty of choice. Overall a nice stay (room 12) in a good budget single, with lovely and helpful host. Would happily stay again. (And thanks for the mince pies!!) .

Great B & B in lovely Thirsk. Train station in walking distance and diverse dining fare in town. Hosts were very hospitable and were a wealth of information regarding things to do. Comfortable room and very nice breakfast. Excellent stay!

Friendly stopover

Booked last minute. Wasn’t sure what to expect. It was great! Nice friendly welcome, good size family room, lots of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Located just a 5 minute stroll to centre of Thirsk. Excellent breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We were greeted by Mark at the door, he checked us in and we had a lovely chat. You can instantly tell he loves his business & cares for his guests very well. Room 4 is a lovely size, was spotlessly clean with lovely amenities. Breakfast was all good quality ingredients. We wouldn't hesitate to go back

Fantastic stay

Amazing stay. Very comfortable room with en-suite. Very clean and well maintained. Excellent host. Fantastic breakfast with award winning sausages and black pudding. Large screen TV. Will be my first choice of guest house when I return to the area.

Ideal place for an overnight stay

A lovely place for an overnight stay. Small but more than adequate single room with en suite shower and toilet. Good comfy bed with immaculately clean and cosy bedding. Super cooked to order breakfast - especially enjoyed the locally produced, award-winning black pudding! Mark is an attentive, helpful host. Great value too.

The owner waited up for me due to a later arrival The bedroom was lovely with hot water in a big en-suite shower really comfy bed, great breakfast and in the morning due to an oversight the owner went over and beyond his duties to make sure I didn’t miss my train
