5* voor een klein prijsje

We verbleven er met 3 kinderen in een kamer op de bovenverdieping met prachtig uitzicht, voor de laatste nacht kregen we een upgrade naar de nieuwe chalets naast het mooie zwembad. Dit hotel blinkt uit in service, de beste van onze reis door Sri Lanka. De bediening was erg vriendelijk voor ons en de kinderen en maakten ons verblijf fantastisch! De eigenaar spreekt perfect Engels en regelt alles wat je maar wil, safari's vervoer etc. Prachtige en mooi onderhouden tuin en zwembad, kortom een mooie rustige oase kort bij de safari parken. Gewoon doen!!!!!!!

Prachtige accommodatie

Prachtige accommodatie, nette kamers met prachtig uitzicht op de bananenplantages. Mooi groot zwembad met uitzicht op de rijstvelden. Ons verblijf was boven verwachting. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en personeel met grote service gerichtheid. Eten ook goed en voor goede prijs. Safari tour kan via hotel geboekt worden, ook goede ervaring. Geen enkel negatief punt te noemen. Echt een aanrader.

Excellent!

As soon as we entered the lush garden of the hotel and parked our car under the fruit trees, we knew the hotel's high rating was well-deserved. The staff at the front desk and restaurants are friendly and helpful. The room is clean and very bright. The dinner and breakfast are delicious.

Nice view and Garden

The Coconut Garden has a stunning view from the top rooms. The garden is beautiful and the pool is very nice. You can even take a swim at night, because there are lights under the water. But the rooms are very worn down! Lamps that does not work, not very nice bathroom and no tv in the room. On Hotels.com they wrote that the room had 1 bed and there was actually 4 beds. We could have saved a lot of money if we knew, that all could sleep in the room. Instead we had to order 2 rooms. There are 10.000 insects at night, wich of course is normal in the area. The City has nothing to see and shops are few. The food was ok, allthough we got a diarrhea short after our stay. But the staff are smiling and helpfull.

Only hotel to charge extra for Driver accommodatio

Check-in process very slow. Gave us wrong room & had to change rooms twice in four nights. Superior Room and the Family Room both a good size with a small bar fridge; air-conditioning & ceiling fan; comfortable king bed (made with two single beds); desk with draws; clothes hanging rack; luggage rack with small shelf underneath; bedside lamps & tables; and a shared balcony. The family room had two extra beds. We had free WiFi with ok speed, but would often drop-out due to local power problems or access problems. There was no wardrobe or TV in either of the rooms. The lighting in the room and the bathroom during the night was extremely low. As for the bathroom, the water pressure was good given that we were in the countryside of Sri Lanka. Bathrooms had no storage space. Only toiletries provided were two bars of soap. As we have found in many of the Sri Lankan country bathrooms, the shower is not contained within a cubicle and therefore the majority of the bathroom gets wet when you shower. Both rooms and the entire hotel were fairly clean, except for the linen on tables at the restaurants. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, as was the owner and his son. You cannot walk to any eating place so have to eat dinner at hotel restaurant. The prices at the hotel expensive for Sri Lanka. Negatives include charging LRP 1,000 per day for your Driver accommodation & food, which other hotels do not. This took us be complete surprise. No TVs & Self-serve laundry.
