"A hotel is only as good as it’s staff, it can be the most beautiful hotel and have terrible stuff which make your experience awful but in general this hotel has lovely helpful staff and a lovely all around atmosphere. I’ve stayed here many times now and will always suggest it to friends who are looking for something in that area and I will go back happily, even if it’s a little bit old around the edges it’s still a wonderful comfortable hotel has a nice spa and amenities which isn’t an added extra and the staff would do anything to help you which makes for a very pleasant experience."

"Always stay here staff are excellent. Hotel room has everything we need and sitting out looking onto the lake is stunning Food is reasonably priced and you can have it brought to your room for a service charge. Breakfast is good or if you’re going out for the day they offer sandwiches instead."

"Overall we had a good stay. Some staff were very helpful (e.g. reception, especially the blonde lady that was in training and at the bar above reception), others not to much (e.g. the dining restaurant where service was very slow). The rooms were clean although there was a small amount of dust on the TV stand. Generally the room was well furnished, just a couple of finishing touches missing. There weren’t any bath robes in the rooms and it wasn’t clear how to obtain them, though we saw other guests by the pool wearing some. The TV also said every room had a mini bar but ours didn’t. We found the instructions / signage on how to use the pool wasn’t super clear but worked out how it worked eventually. The cooked breakfast was excellent and would recommend it, though the continental selection could have had more variety. We would stay again."

"Superb staff, all staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Food was exquisite too every meal was fab in the Orangery and the bar. Beautiful hotel, just a short walk from Pantiles or you can catch the bus downhill. My only criticism was the taxi service provided by the hotel, they charged us 8 pounds to take us down the road to Pantiles which was overpriced. We didn't use that taxi service again."
