Two night stay after landing in Tirana late at night. This hotel is clearly just treading water until the new IHG building is opened. Location is 10/10. Rooms are tired and in desperate need of refurbishment. Staff are great. Breakfast was mediocre. Okay for a night or two maybe, but definitely not worth the money we paid via Expedia.

The hotel has a great location with many places at walking distance. My room had a view of the Skanderbeg Square that was the icing on top, just outstandingly beautiful. Staff was very helpful and prompt at fulfilling any requests. The only thing I was not happy about was the AC in the room, as it did not cool enough and turned off when I left the room, so the room was hot when I came back. This was not helpful considering the crazy heat outside because I had to wait quite some time for the room to be at an ambient temperature (again, the AC did not cool much).

Hotel is nice. Really good location. Rooms simple with not many amenities. The staff at reception were not very friendly. If your room overlooks the square, be prepared for noise. Music kept us awake until 1:00 AM. Boom boom boom !

Loved this hotel. Central location, friendly staff. Great breakfast. My only piece of advice is to start breakfast earlier as a lot of day trips leave at 6am. But this did not impact on my enjoyment of the hotel. I would definitely come back.

Pros: great location, historical hotel, good breakfast, and clean Cons: old hotel that is trading on a past reputation that no longer holds up. Rooms are dated (fun if you like the historical aspect), but common areas have been updated. Very poor aircon in rooms, poor in-room lighting, and un-accommodating staff. They have a policy of holding your passport or 50usd cash for incidentals and are unable to put a hold on a credit card which is not clearly communicated when booking on a 3rd party website. Overall, I would recommend staying elsewhere. On my trip, I also stayed at Mulaj Hotel and it is far better.

An exceptional stay from start to finish! The room was spotless comfortable. I ordered dinner, and it arrived even earlier than expected, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
