Gunsan Hound Hotel

"Gunsan is a small city so you will not find five star accommodations. Hound hotel is no frills, but the room is large, clean, and has a view. The bathroom is large, and the shower is abundant, that is, lots of water comes pouring down. GS25 one block away. The bed is fantastic. Small fridge with water bottles provided each day, Giant TV. Free breakfast—toast, soup, OJ, expresso machine. If you have to stay in Gunsan, this hotel is the place to stay."

"Owned by a very nice family. The bed was very comfortable and you get (4) nice pillows. The hotel is very dated--feels a bit like grandma's home with the mix of kitsch and old wallpaper. You come here for the value and not a modern look. The owner makes a very nice morning breakfast spread but it isn't really ready until about 8 AM. It's a bit of a hike to the base and any food--you probably want a rental car if you are staying here and not right outside the gate."

"Love the location and everything was in walking distance. They let us borrow an umbrella and store our luggage both at check-in/out. Really kind and everything was clean inside."

"Location was great but there was no parking at 3:00pm when we arrived. We had to park about a minute walk down the street. The room had a cool view of the ocean but it smelled like the last person who stayed smoked. There was sand in the elevator, and in the hallway. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel just looked tired. The sensor light by the door constantly was engaged in the middle of the night when one got up to use the restroom. There was no way to disable the light."

"Overall, a very satisfying stay! The overall experience was wonderful, and I was highly satisfied with my stay. However, I would like to suggest a couple of improvements for an even better experience. First, it would be much more comfortable if the seating area had proper backrests or extra cushions. Second, the shelf in the bathroom for toiletries was a bit too small to place personal items. I hope the hotel considers these minor upgrades, as they would make the stay absolutely perfect. I would definitely love to visit again!"
