Although there is some obvious wear and tear, the condo itself was clean enough. My issue, however is with the lack of care demonstrated by the host. After prepaying and confirming my booking, Hotels.com sent me an email reminding me to get in contact with the hosts so that we can arrange the key exchange. I texted the host around 12pm 3 days before my booking. As evident in the screenshot, my text went unanswered. After almost 30 hours, I decided to call the host. The woman who picked up acknowledged that she had seen my text but was incredibly busy managing multiple properties. Huh? Then, she claimed to have sent out an automated email explaining the key exchange. However, I never received any such email and when I asked her to send it to another email, she became unresponsive again. After a few hours, I sent a follow up text asking her to get back to me; I even explained that my two friends would be driving in from out of province so I needed details so as to update them. I called again two hours later as my text had gone unanswered (mind you this is the night before my booking). This time a man picked up and said he’d be meeting me for the key exchange. But an hour before our meetup, he texted that he was unable to meet me and that the keys would be left in a drawer. When I asked if there was parking on site and for the wifi password, I was again met with silence. Only until 9:29 on the morning of my 11am checkout did they give me the password for the wifi they advertised
