"We enjoyed our stay here very much! It is TOTALLY worth staying here for a day or two. You get first access to saying good morning to the elephants before all the day-trippers arrive, and it's lovely to walk around the park in the evening. We came in Jan/26, so the park was very quiet guest wise. Breakfast and dinners were great (not included for us) and reasonably priced. As for the treatment of the ellies - they are well taken care of and have a much better life than before their arrival to Mason. Please watch the informative video, and talk to the mahouts. They are knowledgable and happy to answer questions! AS OF JAN 25 there are no more elephant rides - which was fine by us!! Just happy to be around such big beautiful gentle creatures. "

"What a stellar experience! From the moment we stepped foot into the resort, we were welcomed with so much warmth and enthusiasm from every single staff member. I made a note that this trip was for my girlie's birthday, and they decorated our bed with rose petals, filled our bathtub w flowers, and even delivered a cake to our door while singing happy birthday. Denny, the manager, ensured everyone on the team was working in unison and now that we're at another resort in Uluwatu, we can't wait for our next trip back here at Wapa Di Ume in Ubud. "It is our second time staying at The Purist. My kids and I came last year and had to return on our trip this year. It is the only property we decided to repeat because 1. We loved the spacious size of the rooms (last year we had Bamboo Villa and this year we had a Jungle Villa). 2. We love the breakfast but most of all 3. The staff is so kind and welcoming. Huge huge fans of this hotel. Recommend to all. "
