Trans Pennine Trail, England hotel rooms at the Britannia Hotels

"This was my second stay at this hotel. I came back because I really liked it the first time, although it has changed hands since then. On arrival, our rooms were ready. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our baggage was safely left in the luggage room on the day of our departure, which made it so much easier on our last day. It was even brought to our table when we decided on a last-minute drink in the bar before heading to the station. If I had any gripe at all, it was in-room information. But this seems to be the same in most hotels these days. I miss having a menu, opening times, local sights etc in a booklet or folder. So convenient for the train station. Be aware that there is a door right next to the station. The first time I went, I walked all the way around the building to the front entrance! Would definitely stay here again."

"I booked a suite for 3 and the room was very spacious. The double sofa bed was already set-up when we checked in. Room very well sound-proof, allowing us to have very good sleeps for 3 nights. Air-conditioner was working perfectly, and we were able customize room's temperature to our liking and most importantly, it was quiet. The hotel was 10 min walk from Piccadilly train station and 6 min walk to day tour meeting point. Also breakfast was complimentary which was excellent "

"Stayed here for a night before an early flight from Manchester airport. They have a shuttle bus but we just walked it as it was easy to terminal 2 once you knew where you were going. Room was great with 2 double beds and we had a good night's sleep. Bathroom really needed some work, the sink enamel was all gone and looked terrible. Breakfast was included in our rate and was very good and available from 5.30am which was brilliant for an early flight. Would stay again. "
