"Great atmosphere and friendly staff always there to assist. Beds were comfortable. Excellent reatuarant and food. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Doubletree tour bookings in the foyer arranged some tour bookings for me and even a last minute rental car as most places were booked out."

"This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is an easy drive to and from the train station and airport. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and you get great views of either Trinity Bay or the green mountains that border the city. It is worth ordering the delicious and varied breakfast buffet. The Esplanade walkway is close to the hotel and allows you a beautiful way to see Cairns and an easy walk to the shops, restaurants, amusement park and many other sites. The staff truly make you feel welcomed and assist you in making your visit that more enjoyable. There is free wifi and a free hourly shuttle bus to the town center. The laundry service was good and same day return if you turn it in on time. The hotel will also store your luggage before you depart Cairns so you can enjoy the town without worrying about it. I went on a week-long diving trip and was returning to the hotel and they stored the bags I didn't need and gave them back to me upon my return. This is a hotel that tries to make you feel you're at home."

"This is my second time staying here, and I’d gladly stay here again. The place is nice for the price, has good amenities, and is within easy walking distance of the seashore, restaurants, and shops. There was an unknown issue that caused my key to be deactivated, and when I returned to the hotel at around 10 PM I found myself locked out. The emergency phone outside of hotel reception allowed me to contact someone after hours, and I was able to get into my room within about ten minutes. While I dislike the keycard error, the staff handled it promptly and courteously. Issues can happen, and I really appreciate it when the staff are able to promptly and graciously address any problems. "

"Excellent location and facilities however my only recommendation would be based on the room charge l suggest the hotel adds pay TV eg foxtel or Netflix, You tube. Apart from free to air TV and movies offered not much else. Apart from that all good and would stay again."

"I booked at 730 am for tonight, by 1pm was in the ED ( not on hotel grounds) and will have a joint replaced tomorrow. A lovely reception lady took my call and with empathy will see if I can get a room credit or refund. Can't really ask for more-thankyou"

"This hotel was just what I needed after traveling abroad and staying in hostels. A private room to myself with a big bed, tv and nice shower. I was able to check in early which is lovely. It was stupid that they make you pay to store your luggage, because I just sat in the lobby with it to avoid that and cluttered up their front space. Close to restaurants and grocery store. "
