Blankets had holes in them, bathroom smelled, wall had been spackled but not painted, a carry-out coffee cup from previous tenant was left in the room. Clean and sanitary are the base requirements for any hotel regardless of the number of stars but the room we were in was sub-standard and the hallways were filthy so I don't expect the others were better.

Frustrated that $100 deposit for security coverage was not returned. I did not remember to ask in am. No reminder given. When called, took 2 days and 3 calls to get answer. Would not mail or cc credit, had to pick up in person....I'm traveling, live in Wisconsin, can not go back for deposit!

Run don't walk, away frim this place
The first room i was put in had mold growing on the ceiling. The moved me. The second room had a trash bag covering the smoke detector. The phone did not work. Around midnight my toilet would not flush. I found out that the phone did not work because i tried to call the front desk, to inform about the toilet. I went down to tell them. When i returned to the room, i was followed up by the front desk attendant. He tried to hand me a plunger. I told him im the paying customer, not their maintenance. He refused to fix the issue because he wasn't maintenance either.

Go to the hotel next door!!
The room was awful, the bed had burns in the blanket from cigarettes, the bathroom door did not shut. There were people trying to get into my room at 3:00 in the morning. And they kept my $100 deposit for a “cleaning fee” when I have pictures (I have always done this) of the room when I left, there was nothing out of the norm that would need a $100 cleaning fee. I knew something was off when the man that checked me in literally tried to take my debit card out of my hand before telling me how much he was charging!!! Horrible!!!

Even though all their rooms are listed as non-smoking they have the distinctive strong smell of smoke; bedding and carpet with holes caused by cigarette burns, etc. The mattresses and pillows have that smell impregnated deep into them, so a non-smoking person would not be able to rest or sleep. Left after 30 minutes totally disappointed.

Bad experience
The bed sheets had cigarette burns on them, the shower wasn’t properly clean. The room smell awful. I went to the front desk and informed them about it then the manager ask you want me to change them? Wow couldn’t believe his question.

I made the mistake of thinking this was a newer property and wouldn't be like every other Super 8 built 30 years ago. I was wrong. Broken down, dated, marginally clean but hard to tell, and just plain dilapidated, this is entry-level hoteling for people who need a place to stay but can't afford a good hotel. I booked three nights, but changed hotels after one. If I was poor in my 20s again, this would have sufficed, but not anymore. When I asked if I could get my money back for the unused days, the counter woman smiled broadly and said "nope" with way too much personal satisfaction. Thankfully, Expedia went to bat for me and got me most of the money back for the unused nights.

The pros: good location, great staff, good bed. The cons: outdated room, no desk (desk chair present), microwave and refrigerator next bathroom sink, stains in window coverings. To me I expected a more organized and clean room.
