“This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome ”

“If you want to sleep with bugs, hunt them while your in the room, not have wifi, not have any phone reception, hear every movement from outside your room.. This is the place to go. Not ironically this time: the rooms are nice, the outside garden is beautiful but very creepy at night. ”

“This property is old and not well maintained: My room curtains were not properly attached at the top of the window, the room main lamp did not have a bulb. Staff was not welcoming ... I spend 50 to 60 nights per year in hotels. This was the worse in years. ”

“Slightly quirky place. Some bits need upgrading. Curtains were hanging off a bit. No restaurant was open in the actual hotel. Had to walk down to golf club. Had to pay 25 euro to use swimming pool. My kids liked using the golf range, putting green and practice area. Club was very kind and let them use clubs for free. Very reasonable 2 euro for 20 balls. Amazing setting. Would have liked to explore more. Breakfast was good. ”

“Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Leider war bei uns der Safe und die Lüftung im Bad kaputt. Der Besitzer das Hotels war allerdings sehr bemüht, die Dinge zu beheben. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt sehr schön und das selbstgemachte Frühstück extrem lecker.”

“This hotel is located in the center of Grado near the grand canal. It is very close to dozens of restaurants and shops and 10 min walk to 2 public beaches. Hotel staff was very efficient and friendly. Breakfast was plentiful (typical Italian fare). Parking, albeit limited and tight, is available in a secure area accessible from the hotel’s lobby. Recommend getting a junior suite; the less expensive rooms are very small. ”
