“PROS: We had an amazing 4-days stay at Elysium. This Boutique Hotel is a true gem worth every 5-stars, nested a short-tuk-tuk ride from Unawatuna or Galle. The hotel is on a quiet beautiful beach. There are rocks, so you cannot swim directly in from the hotel, but you have a small and beautiful cove 100m on the right. And you can enjoy the view of fishermen on their stilts from the hotel terrace at sunrise and sunset! Spot is perfect for both. The rooms are very large and comfortable, decorated...

“Location and overall appeal of the hotel is great. Some staff are really good and helpful. Most are courteous but the language barrier makes it super hard at times. Front desk was the worst and there was a huge gap in requests made to them and getting those executed by the staff. Cleanliness needs a WHOLE LOT to be improved on. In every room and every aspect of bathrooms. ”

“With basic amenities of tourist destination hotels like a clean room (only cleaned upon request), drinking water(referring to the 2 small bottles of water given in the room), fresh towels ( again upon request only), clean swimming pool (gathering ground for mosquitoes), 24/7 electricity missing for this hotel and the fact that it is located far from tourist attractions, I highly recommend not to choose this hotel. The only saving grace for this hotel is the good food.”
