"We really enjoyed our experience at Ycona, one of the nicest hotel experiences. The hotel was really well laid out, and the staff were incredible, the friendliest and kindest people. It was also a really good move by the resort to have a WhatsApp group that had all the staff on it so there was always someone able to assist our requests. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful! Heads up: the beach had a lot of sea urchins in January. There were some local youths that showed us safe passage and starfish, sea spiders, lionfish, etc. right there on our beach for a small fee. For swimming the hotel pool was beautiful. The food in the hotel restaurant was reasonably priced and good. "

"Good value for the price. Especially appreciated the security at the hotel, staff friendliness and the location. Prime location at the beach, very nice swimming pool/sun bed area. Would not recommend eating at the hotel, as the food was very poor. However, there are a number of good places to eat just a short walk from the hotel (Zanzibarista, Delight for pizza, Shanga). Over all, impressed with what we got for the price of the stay. "
