"Great space, very quiet and private, no road noise. Great pool and the villas were very cute, but pretty small. If your goal is a brilliant blue beach and white sand, then this is not your resort. The Ocean / Bay views are nice, but the beach was very rocky and shallow, and no real “Sandy” beach to hang out on. Only bad experience we had was with the lady at the check in desk, we asked for a taxi to town and she insisted we pay her directly for the ride, which we found out from the driver was about 3x the normal price. Very close to the bar scene, maybe a 15 min ride, and if call on your own and don’t use the clerk at the front desk, it’s about 300 Baht each way, or $9 American"

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Rocky’s Boutique Resort. The service was exceptional from start to finish, with the staff going above and beyond to help us celebrate both our engagement and a birthday during our stay. We were also incredibly grateful for the fantastic upgrade to a beautiful beachfront room, which made the experience even more special. The staff were consistently friendly, attentive and genuinely keen to make sure everything was perfect. The setting is amazing, tucked between a couple of rocky coves with lovely sandy beaches in between, creating a peaceful and wonderfully romantic atmosphere. It’s a fantastic location for a relaxing getaway. The food was excellent too, with a great selection of vegetarian options, and the live music on several evenings was a lovely touch — atmospheric without being intrusive. And not to forget the delicious welcome drink! Overall, Rocky’s is a truly romantic hotel with exceptional service, a beautiful setting and a wonderful attention to detail. We’d happily return and highly recommend it."

"Friendly Staff and Excellent Location, With a Few Areas for Improvement I stayed at Centara Life Lamai Resort Samui and found the staff to be extremely friendly, kind, and helpful. Whenever I had an issue, they genuinely did their best to address it, and I appreciated how accommodating they were throughout my stay. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths. It’s only about a two-minute walk to Lamai Beach and right in the middle of the area, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and nightlife within easy walking distance. The rooms were also very spacious and comfortable, which was a definite plus. There are a few things I think could be improved. I would suggest providing small washcloths in the bathrooms and having security available both during the day and at night. The gym could also use an upgrade, although I really appreciated that the staff provided me with a new yoga mat when I needed one. The biggest issue for me was the nighttime noise. Because this is a smaller hotel located close to the street and nightlife, there was significant noise during my stay, generally from around 10:30 p.m. until 2:30 a.m. I was able to discuss and resolve my concerns with the manager, who was very kind and professional, but light sleepers should definitely keep the location and potential noise in mind when booking. Overall, the staff really helped make the experience a positive one. The hotel has a fantastic location for enjoying Lamai Beach and everything the surr"

"The location of the hotel is excellent, on a lovely stretch of Lamai beach. There are plenty of sun loungers both around the picturesque pool and on the sand as well as beach towels in your room for you to use. The staff are all delightful - super friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is open to the outside with pool and beach views - very pleasant. Eggs in a variety of forms were freshly made for you by cheerful staff members Bedrooms are very spacious. Good amenities in the room such as a fridge, umbrellas for showers and daily bottled water. There is a massage centre attached to the hotel for open air treatments at a reasonable price. On Thursdays, there is a barbeque on the beach and a brilliant fire show. However, the hotel overall could do with some maintenance, for example rusting railings that need painting and some of the wooden bedroom and balcony furniture was scratched and chipped. Breakfast was pleasant enough for a couple of days but then became rather monotonous as it was l much exactly the same every day. In addition, breakfast staff were great at clearing plates away, but not so good at topping up the breakfast dishes so there was always something that had run out or had gone cold. There is a fitness room but the multi gym was broken, the a/c did not work well and there were no free weights so it wasn't really functional. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but with a few tweaks this hotel could be even better.ll"
