Vatican, Rome hotel rooms at the Independent

"The biggest strength of this property were the Reception staff - Monica and Marta - who were both always helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. The hotel is excellently located for the Vatican City and St. Peter's and within 500 metres of Ottiviano Metro Station. The area around the hotel is relatively quiet and within 200 metres of good bars/ restaurants. The hotel itself is clean and well kept although the facilities in my room lacked being able to make a drink for yourself or somewhere to sit. I would stay at the Grand Olympic again - its strengths far outweigh a few minor improvements."

"I stayed at Hotel Museum for the second time and once again found it to be a wonderfully cozy and welcoming place. The staff are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always going the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. The room size was ideal for my daughter and me—spacious enough without feeling overwhelming. The hotel’s location is fantastic, just steps from the Vatican. You can even see the Vatican walls right from the front of the hotel, and the Vatican Museums are conveniently located just across the street, up the stairs. Getting around is easy too—the metro station is about a 10-minute walk away, and there are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. One of my favorite parts was enjoying the morning breakfast on the rooftop terrace—a perfect way to start the day with beautiful views. Throughout the day, the hotel offers complimentary pastries, tea, and various coffee’s which was a lovely touch. I will definitely be returning whenever I’m in Rome! "

"Very simple property...but covered all the necessities. Clean, nice size room, nice size bathroom and great staff. I appreciate it's a real hotel with 24/7 front desk to help with any needs. Short walk to the Vatican, restaurants and grocery stores. Shout out to Momo Pizza Kebab drop (fantastic food)!!"
