“Very friendly and welcoming greeting on arrival. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was good but be careful, the bath was very slippery, the shower however had good pressure and nice toiletries were provided. It is a period building and there was no AC but a fan was provided and due to the high ceilings the room was not excessively hot. The pool was amazing. Absolutely fabulous! We were encouraged to relax and enjoy the surrounding areas and make use of the...

“This place was a wonder spot to explore the area. Our hosts were very welcoming. The Chateau is extremely well decorated and restored. The rooms are large and have every luxury. There is a wonderful dog at the property that is very friendly. For those that have an expensive car that they do not want scratched by a happy dog jumping up, best to park before the property and walk in. Let the owners know you have arrived and they will make sure that Skye is in the house until you park.”

“Christian and Katherine are fantastic hosts and took exceptional care of us. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well looked after. The food and wine were exquisite with stunning views over the river. Really special place. Thank you! ”

“The help and support that Silvie gave us due to our traffic accident the day before was beyond anything we might have hoped for. From arranging us access to the hotel after hours to contacting Europcar and working with them to find a location to pick up a replacement car to scheduling a taxi for us to get to Bergerac to get the car. Silvie was incredibly supportive as if that we were her only job for that day. We were treated not as clients but as valued guests at your lovely hotel. What...

“Goed verblijf gehad. Prima ontbijt.

“Incredibly beautiful and tastefully decorated ~16C chateau. Very welcoming host for whom nothing was too much trouble.”

“Charming hotel in beautiful location. Staff was great. When we checked in I asked about gluten free bread at breakfast. When we came down the next morning the staff member said, “Your gluten free bread is in the oven, only 5 or 10 minutes until it’s done. Room and bed were very nice. Great walk in shower. If we stop in Angoulême again I’d definitely choose the Hotel des Arts!”
