This is a lovely hotel, which is centrally located for not only the highlights of Venice, but the convenience of the train station. Extremely friendly staff, amazing breakfast, and attention to detail that one looks for when traveling from America. Thank you.
The location was very convenient, though a little hard to find the entrance. The room was very spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was very good. Would stay again.

The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were large and very clean, but they showed some wear & tear; tiles that were broken in the shower & wear on the vanity, but everything was working fine. I stayed in multiple hotels on my trip through Italy and this seemed to be problem in all of them, so the issue may just be finding good contractors.
The pictures on the website show #61 as the entrance, but we actually had to check in down the alley at Hotel Abbazia. The location of the hotel is right by the train station, very safe and convenient to public transportation. They had a lovely garden for breakfast or cocktails. I would definitely recommend it and will stay there again next time I go to Venice.
This place is so awesome and right next to the train station making it easy to jump on the train, the staff were awesome too!!! Will stay here again if we come back
Excellent staff, beautiful rooms, delicious tap water. Was a little confusing figuring out where to check in, but it was down the street at the Hotel Abbazia, not a big deal.
Would stay here again!
The room was lovely, spacious and had amazing views. The hotel is very well maintained and clean, and the breakfast spread was brilliant — we really enjoyed the food.
My main concern was accessibility. Access to our room was via a long route from the main entrance, through narrow passages with several awkward and uneven steps. My father has glaucoma and found this particularly difficult. There was a staircase and exit very close to our room which would have made things much easier for him. I explained this to reception and asked if we could use it, but unfortunately the request was politely declined. I wish some flexibility could have been shown considering his condition.
The other disappointment was at breakfast. A male staff member with a shaved head asked the three of us to sit at half of a six-person corner table, presumably leaving the other half for other guests, despite several four-person tables being available. The table was cramped and we didn’t want to share with strangers. I had to ask several times before we could use a four-person table. He wasn’t rude, but wasn’t particularly accommodating either.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room, views, cleanliness, breakfast and food were excellent. Better consideration for accessibility and a little more flexibility from staff would have made the experience much better.

Great location and friendly reception staff. The rooms are very very outdated, it was fine for one night thought.
We got to breakfast at 9.15 and there was barely anything left, and at 9.30 we were reminded twice that the breakfast was over at 10. It’s an okay selection just come in earlier I guess if you want to have proper meal.

The room view was gorgeous. It was overlooking the canal. It was nice disadvantage although we were helped was getting to it. It seemed to be at the very end of the hotel lots of stairs. Also, the detergent they used to clean your bedsheets was very strong. It was not a great experience in that sense having to sleep in it.
This hotel was a real gem. So close to the train station yet felt peaceful and cosy. Free breakfast was provided and was both plentiful and varied. Service from staff was wonderful and all were very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful room with sensational view of the Grand Canal. Great breakfast included staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the little fridge barely worked.
Perfect location next to the train station if you are only popping in Venice. We had a view room to a canal and bridge which was a perfect start to an Italian trip. Worth the extra. Room was small but clean with large bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful and had both eggs and fruit… not just pastries. I would stay in this view suite again.
Period hotel with great breakfast. The room was clean and spacious and the bathroom clean and lovely.
The check in staff downstairs were helpful too.
The lift and heating worked well.
Excellent location, a few steps from the train and Grand Canal.
When we booked it said Grand Canal views. Our room had no views other than an old unloved roof. That was disappointing.
Tiny room but, its like almost everything in Venezia. Picture perfect spot. Beautiful lobby. Secure entryway Exceptional breakfast included and it takes place in the adjacent hotel wich is connected through a walking corridor. Reception is on the second floor and also you have to keep climbing stairs depending what room you get. Super friendly staff.
The hotel is very nice. It's located 3 minutes away from the train station. We had the room with city view. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I really enjoyed delicious breakfast. Highly recommend this hotel.
