"Lobby is beautiful and the check in was smooth; however the room was not great. Dingy, dated, poorly set up- only outlet by the bed was connected to the large, blaring overhead light, so once turned off the outlet stopped functioning. Bathroom was dated and cramped with min counter space. Sheets did not fit bed and peeled off throughout the night. Just generally a very mediocre room for the price."

"I had a great time staying here. Its location made it easy to explore the downtown area on foot. Lots of cool restaurants near by. The room was spacious and staff were very friendly. The airport is far away and with the traffic, would suggest reserving extra time while traveling to the airport. All in all a great experience. Would recommend without reservations "

"I stayed here during a week of business etc and found the accommodations excellent for a long-ish stay. My room was the Purple Room - private bath, dining area, living room and separate bedroom. Clean, quiet, comfortable and appointed with everything one would need: Coffee maker, small fridge, microwave, dishes. Plenty of towels and storage in the bathroom. Big comfortable sectional sofa to lounge/work on. The staff is off site and responded quickly to text messages. The lock code provided easy and safe access to the room. VERY fun neighborhood - walking distance to everything, including Chicago's beautiful lakefront. "

"Used to be a cute boutique hotel and still has a lot of that charm. But the property is a little rundown now. Our bathroom had cracking/peeling tub, worn/torn towels and a wall heater that was SOOOOO loud. The room and bathroom were also really small - although I know that’s true for most city hotels "
