"The place was great. My only issue was our balcony overlooked part of the roof. That would be fine if the roof wasn’t covered in trash, clothing, etc."

"We stayed at the hotel for five nights and most of the people that we encountered that work. There were very nice, pleasant and helpful. One of the young ladies that work at the front desk recommended a nice seafood restaurant that was very close and it turned out to be excellent. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. The indoor pool, although small seemed kinda hot and muggy at first, but once you’re in the water, the temperature of the room was perfect. One night we decide to play games and since the rooms do not have a big table, we played games in the lobby at the conference table and then we got hungry so we ordered takeout from the restaurant and one of the managers was so sweet and brought our order over right to our table. I think it was one of my favorite nights. Asked for the room, it was very well kept, and pretty clean, the beds were fairly comfortable for a hotel, and we really enjoyed our balcony, especially since they all faced the ocean! Overall, I would say our experience was 8.5 out of 10, definitely would recommend this hotel and definitely would stay there again!!!"

English Inn of Charlottesville

"The English Inn has been my "go to" place when I am in Charlottesville. it is clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff are pleasant and helpful. My one concern is the shower. Evidently, after showering and opening the doors, the water will go onto the floor instead of staying in the shower. One can see the water lines in the bathroom tiles that are close to the shower. I try to avoid this, but without success. The English Inn is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay and I hate to see the property be damaged in any way. Hopefully, this is an easy fix."
