“Lovely property and full of history. Check in was wonky and check out was worse. To check in we had to go to the bar/restaurant and ask "where's check in?" The bartender checked us in, which was fine, but a bit odd. When we checked out the next morning the downstairs restaurant was closed and locked, so there was nowhere to check out. “This is a beautiful property with interesting history. The room was comfortable. The innkeepers are very gracious and helpful. While not located in the heart of the historic district, it’s a short walk away. Quite honestly, it’s better than being in the heart anyway - more quiet and easier parking. There is a fantastic bar just behind the house, and Snallygasters (best restaurant in town) is next door. ”

“Nicely renovated facility near the New River. ”

“It's a nice simple motel just off the parkway. No frills but clean with cold AC and an easy drive to Floyd, VA.”

“Upon arrival, we had an issue with the TV. Assistance from staff was timely as was a resolution. Outside temps were in the high 80’s and AC unit worked hard to bring room temp to 70 degrees. Beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was included in room fee. ”

“This is one of the most quaint places I've stayed at. Building was built in early 1900's but has been refurbished inside with modern features but retains the old craftsman look and feel.
