good place to stay
The room was clean and cozy but fridge was not available for several days. You should call the hotel and ask for it before reservation if you need one.

고풍스런 호텔
워싱턴 중간에 위치해 있어서 이동하기 편했어요. 전동킥보드로 이동하기 편하기 때문에 3박하면서 모든곳을 전동킥보드로 다녔어요. 올드타운, 차이나타운까지 모두 전동킥보드 이동 쉬워요. 시설은 올드했으나 나름 고풍스러웠습니다.

I loved this place!
I really loved staying here. I had a business meeting at the Marriot Hotel and had some days left to look around DC. This place is close to the city center and many of the traveling spots. Also, everyone in the hotel was really kind and nice.

I satisfied with all the facility except there is no refrigerator(maybe if you tell before go they will prepare for it). Hotel was very cozy, clean, warm, and comfort. Water also have a good condition (pressure). I will visit again next time when I go Washington D.C. Thank you for everything.

Overall nice and old hotel with a character and decor not usually associated with the regular chain hotels. Only complaint was they havent sound proofed the rooms and we could hear every laugh scream and voice- so if you are looking for a place to rest properly - then this hotel isnt for you. Area around is great.

If you book a Queen room it is extremely small and does not even have a dresser for clothes. Had to sit some on the nasty floor. No mini fridge or vending machines in hotel. Just old and outdated

The history of the property was unique. Built in 1918, it has seen quite a bit of American history.

This hotel feels very European. Older, quaint, dated bathrooms, plaster walls. The property is lovely but desperately needs an investment in updates. My mattress had a deep trench for each body from years of use and the elevators had musty smelling stained carpets. The service however was stellar and it really has an old world charm.

Old-school small, quiet boutique hotel in a great location, offering very good value for the money. Could have used an additional chair in the room (there was only one chair and it was an office chair). But that was the only negative, and it's a pretty minor one.

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff and service although the bar closes very early at 9.30pm. Not a modern, sterile hotel but an old build with lots of parking Fairly convenient for the White House and memorials and metro stations are fairly close too.

This property is indeed historic, as can be experienced via the lack of individual room control of heat. Pros: *the bed was extremely comfortable (extra blankets if needed in the closet) *bathroom was big, clean and had great pressure for the shower *hotel was able to help us upgrade the room (which was charged) *doorman was kind and helpful with luggage *king room was large space with a settee, and a desk with a chair *daily towels changed out and bed made *iron and ironing board in room *robes in closet Cons *inability to control the heat left us overheated at 84 degrees and rising-we had to turn off in the room (staff wouldn't give straight answer on us not being able to control the heat in our room) can increase but not lower. *no ability to open windows for breeze either *checkin was super slow staff seemed inexperienced and confused (reported that i got free upgrade when i returned a few hours later to check on room to checkin when i had paid for it and spent over 20 mins working with same staff to get the upgrade) *no tea available at all, no water/coffee station for guests * daily towels changed out and bed made (trash left) *breakfast available for a cost *hotel bar closes before 10pm *half the outlets in the room did not work to include the lamp usb ports *no fridge or microwave in the room *limited hangers in the closet *no dresser or place to put clothing Special cherry blossom tea offered that included regular tea/pastries for $70 seemed overpriced

Was moving to dc and had to book a hotel a day prior. Staff was wonderful but the hotel was overbooked when I came late into the evening. I called the morning of our 8 hr drive to ensure everything would be ready in the late evening. We were told we had to go to a different property when we got there then we’re told we could stay at the alternate property both nights… around 12 pm the next day, they called us and said we had to check out and move everything to the previous hotel. If we weren’t up so late figuring things out with the hotel, we would’ve left early to handle our apartment issues. Thank god we didn’t leave because it would’ve been hell to go back from the water front to transfer hotels for the second time. The first hotel accommodation was okay until we pulled back the decorative cover and saw short black hair all over ( neither of us have short black hair) so off putting. The original place we booked (Henley) was clean and historic! So it made up for it a bit.. It was a very frustrating experience but I’m glad they did their best to fix it. Management just needs to straighten themselves out. The woman at the front desk (couldn’t catch her name) was a lovely ray of sunshine during a stressful time, all the love to her!
