Comfortable beds but not clean
Room had a smell to it. Carpets in the room were very dirty and stained. Beds were comfortable and loved pillows. Did not get much sleep because of all the noise in the hallway.

As a business traveler with a truck and trailer, my biggest concern everywhere I go is the safety of my truck and customer product onboard. ZERO complaints for here. Very friendly and accommodating. I will continue to stay when coming through the area.

The property was over all nice, every time we walked back in the room it smelled stinky a little bit but other than that the stay was good. The location was nice and close to a lot of things.

We just needed clean place, a comfy bed, and a warm shower and this was fine for this. They didn't have any bottled water and that was kind of a bummer but not a really big deal.

Everything smelled very clean and the breakfast was awesome. The girls that managed the breakfast area did a wonderful job! I wish there was an ice machine in every floor.

The hotel was okay. Not exactly the level that I expect from Holiday Inn Express. Disappointing was the hot tub. The website shows a hot tub but when we arrived, we found that it had been filled in with concrete. Very disappointing after a long day of travel. Breakfast was just okay. Lacking things we have some to expect from the brand.

Fridge in room wasn’t working, bathroom door barely shut, found dirty socks & braces rubber bands on the floor, hot tub didn’t even have water in it and was closed indefinitely.

Holiday Inn Express by name only.
Great water pressure in the shower and the rooms were clean at check-in. However "due to COVID" there was no daily housekeeping. A sign read that the rooms are cleaned on Wednesday only, but only if you have been there already for 5 days. We checked in on Tuesday and the following day, housekeeping knocked once on the door, then attempted to enter the room without identifying themselves. There was rarely anyone at the desk. Housekeeping staff taking breaks out in the hallway, and smoking right outside the front entrance. At one point when staff was at the desk, they were speaking with another staff member, who dropped the f-bomb. The beds were uncomfortable and room data. Bring your charging blocks, as there are no USB ports in the room. The walls are very thin and could here the people next door and the windows did not reduce traffic noise. The pool was cold and the hot tub water looked murky. Not a Holiday Inn Express experience.

Expected a little more from the Holiday Inn. Pool was cold and never had towels available. Building/rooms are getting old. Hot items at breakfast were great and what makes this hotel different/better than others.

Renovated lobby! Nice rooms. Nesr lots of prime tourist places: casino, water park, mall, restaurants, movie theater. Only negative was very little parking.

The pool and hot tub were broken. The person at the front desk was rather rude when I asked about it. If I had known they were unable to be used I would’ve made reservations somewhere else! The tv remote didn’t work unless you were right up next to the tv. The shower had mold.

Pool was closed which we never knew. Some Electrical outlets in our room didn’t work. Our ice machine on our floor didn’t work. No vending machines. I don’t think I will stay there again on my next trip to Waterloo

An Odd Experience
It was honestly the weirdest hotel experience we've ever had. We pulled into the parking lot and there was only ONE other car - it belonged to the gal working the front desk. I had to go back down to our car to get something, and witnessed a couple leaving the hotel with their bags, get into their vehicle, and drive across the street to another hotel. The woman working the front desk when we checked in was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot with it running. It was so strange. We had booked the Holiday Inn Express because all other chains offer their hot breakfast, just served by an attendant. This was not the case here. They were only offering a grab and go bag. Overall, wouldn't recommend.

The hotel is very clean and quiet. Although it is not the biggest Holiday Inn, it makes up with heart. Sarah Everett and her staff made this a great stay. They are very friendly and helpful too! The warm cinnamon rolls rock too! Thank you!
