"The hotel in certain area’s is being renovated which didn’t effect our stay even though we had to pass through part of it to get to our room .
Wasn’t a problem.
Our room was immaculately kept .
Housekeeping would have extra work to do keeping areas clean but they are keeping on top of it . Well done .
Breakfast was great with a good choice .
I managed to get parked on the front which was handy .
We had an excellent stay .
Would definitely stay there again."
"Breakfast was a bit of a disaster. Ordered 2 poached eggs just as another visitor ordered 2 poached eggs. It would seems the chef was told to cook 2 poached eggs. After waiting about 10 minutes 2 poached eggs were produced and the other visitor took them. I asked the chef about my 2 poached eggs. He had no idea anymore we're requested. He said 3 minutes. By this time the rest of my breakfast was cold. 3 minutes later the chef said my eggs would be another 2 minutes. I cancelled at this point. I don't argue with chef before they cook my meal (trust issues). I ended up having nothing to eat at all. A very expensive rubbish breakfast experience."
"The hotel appeared clean but there was a musty smell throughout the hotel that smelled like they are putting febreeze over it so it was kind of a weird smell. Our air conditioning didn't work and we called the front desk 3 times and it was never fixed, nobody contacted us about it, and our windows wouldn't open. It was hot and musty and we all slept with no covers on because it was so hot in our room. The pillows and bedding felt cheap. The pillows were flat and hard, no fluff left in them at all. However, the plus side of things, it has a bar and you can get room service, there was a nice restaurant inside, and it was almost right next door to the mall which is very walkable so there are a number of food and beverage options. The staff was nice and very helpful. The only issue with the staff was that nothing was done about the ac situation."
"The corridors were a bit tired. People dragging their cases along damaged the wallpaper and it needs replacing. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and the staff were really nice and helpful. Very handy location for getting to Southampton to join a cruise."
"Amazing grounds to stroll through. Reception staff brilliant, room clean spacious everything you need.
Breakfast fresh hot food, plentiful to choose from
and dine in an area that was clean and inviting.
We shall return"
