Lakeside Resort was a wonderful experience. The cabins are so nice and well maintained, our only critique is the furniture in the "Living room" was very uncomfortable, if we were 5'2" it would have been fine but after wine tasting all day we just wanted to sit back with a glass of "the find of the day" and relax, but the chairs didn't have tall enough backs to actually rest your head on so we ended up watching TV in the bedroom where we could rest against the headboard with pillows.
Rocky came and visited every morning and took our 4 y.o. Boxer (Layla) on morning strolls and even a quick dip in the pond, which she loved!
The Bistro was excellent and we had dinner there 2 evenings, one evening we had Pizza delivered and the last evening we ate at The Decoy right up the road, which was also very good.
The property is so nice with the trails and waterfall area, the chairs and hammock located on the rocks in the middle of the stream were fantastic. We saw several deer and a fawn on our daily walks as well.
We highly recommend staying here especially if you are traveling with your dogs, what a great place!
