“Excellent from start to finish. The room was very clean and felt comfortable, with a delightful view over the garden. We had a couple of drinks in the bar which was nice and relaxing. We later had dinner in the restaurant, with a nice selection of dishes and again a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. The breakfast was lovely, the wife had boiled eggs and soldiers, they were perfect with nice runny yokes. My full English breakfast was excellent with a perfectly cooked poached egg. “Tucked away in unspoilt countryside . It was indeed a warm, cosy double. Soft muted colours, furry blankets, gorgeous comfortable bed. Felt immediately at home' . The garden with twinkling lights and restaurant decoration are charming and food first class. We canx our booking due to an unforeseen hospital stay but could then make it and staff handled this effectively- thank you . We loved it and will be back. Thank you so much x ”

“A wonderful welcome and our room was lovely. The dining area was busy with both residents and local people. The menu offered a good variety and food arrived very hot and well presented. We wouldn’t hesitate to return but would advise that the age of the building means that stairs are very steep and the floors are uneven. ”
