Don’t be fooled by the roadside motel vibe, our stay overnight was great! Comfy beds, quiet room and my favourite Earl Grey tea. You can’t beat the price either!

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
For the price we were content with our stay. Very easy check in/check out
This was a diamond in the rough . Room very clean and thoughtful enhancements. Front desk extremely friendly. Only small improvement I can see is - if the TV channels were better or even a smart TV would be nice.
BUT other than that this was a nice quiet spot to put our heads down for the night- would recommend !
This was the second time I stayed at Northern Lights and was treated exceptionally well even though I arrived later than usual. My partner and I found the room to be excellent.. the little amenities the earplugs the little signs made it feel very homey and very warm and inviting. Would highly recommend
Our second time staying at Northern lights motel. This is an older motel, however they are always doing nice updates. The staff is so kind and sweet. The room is very clean. The room has a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. A desk and a table and chairs as well as a Tv,books and cards. Comfortable beds and pillows. Lots of little cute touches like ear plugs and sewing kit. The ladies that will check you in is why you will go back, just so kind. Thank you for your kindness and we will see you next time.
All in all it was a well kept room, perfectly suitable for our family, including our dog.
The lady at the check-in was very polite and kind.
The room was very clean, but did have a bit of musty odour, but we found you got used to it right away. The beds were very comfortable.
For the price-point, we would stay again.
Friendly front desk staff, spacious and rustically charming. Clean and comfortable. However there was a slight musty smell on entering. Had to open all windows which was fine due to weather but if they were closed I might not rate it as well
This was a perfect stop as we did the Superior Circle for my family of five. We stayed in the Chalet which was great. For the price, location, and size, this was perfect for us.
Super cute and VERY clean! A lot cleaner than most hotels we stayed at along our trip!! Friendly and helpful staff beautiful area in the back for our dogs! Very happy and will definitely come back!
Our stay was a one night stop over on our drive west. We were a little later that we expected to be and it poured rain on arrival. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a very restful night and were ready to continue our journey in the morning.
While the rooms were clean and the staff was accomodating, we were dispeased with the offputting smell in the rooms. It was almost as if the room had animals (cats) in it and the smell resonated throughout the room.
The space was clean. The bed comfortable (nice sheets) and the place did not have gay awful deodorizer smell that so many motels have. A good place to stop between Winnipeg and Ottawa
