Positives - Exceptional staff - very hardworking and always happy to help when asked and answer questions.
- Very Attractive and quaint period bedroom with a large spacious en-suite attached.
- Comfy kingsized bed.
- Traditional pub menu but super evening meal ( If you need to avoid salt, do mention it as potatoes are well salted.) and full breakfast with generous portions. We have eaten here several times before and there has been consistent excellent cooking every time
- lots of towels and pristine bathroom

Negatives - It would have been helpful if weโd been given useful information on arrival or printed in our room - eg wifi code, time of breakfast, etc. We had to interrupt the only member of staff on duty each time to find out.
- We also arrived on a very hot day to find the 2 opening windows in our room had been removed for renovation and the apertures boarded up. Staff were apologetic but it was too hot to stay in our room until it cooled down after dark (and was unattractive too) and we werenโt offered a free drink or anything to make up for the inconvenience.
- lumpy pillows - disappointing when bedding is good quality
