"This was my second time staying at the Royal Sonesta. The location is great in regards to the airport and easy to get to other areas of the island. The huge lagoon is nice but if you're looking for a big expansive view of the ocean, this isn't for you, regardless of where your room is located. Another drawback is the lack of an ocean front walking path besides the short one in front of the hotel and Duke's restaurant. One other drawback is lack of sunset view because it faces south/the mountains block the sunset. However, the facility is very nice, the restaurants are pretty nice (the Grain Bowl at lunch is outstanding) and overall the staff was great."

"It was quiet the condo was clean but dated. There was no AC or elevators to the rooms that should be listed on the description. There was no daily cleaning service to clean your room so that was a surprise. The island is beautiful and relaxing just because when booking to insure you get what you pay for."

"Very charming little oasis in Lihue. Room was simple, clean and perfect with local touches. Bed was SO comfortable I slept 10 hours! They have nice coffee and lemon water in the lobby area that we enjoyed each day. Very centrally located."
