"Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Islander Resort. Since we visited on a Sunday night, dining options on the property were somewhat limited. However, we highly recommend the Lorelei Restaurant just across the street—it offers excellent food and drinks, live music, and truly stunning sunset views that made our evening especially memorable."

"We had the most amazing stay at Amara Cay in Islamorada for our honeymoon! From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless, relaxing, and truly special. The property is absolutely beautiful—clean, modern, and perfectly captures that laid-back luxury island vibe. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept, with stunning views that made it hard to leave. The pool area and private beach were highlights for us—plenty of space to unwind, with crystal-clear water and the most peaceful atmosphere. It never felt overcrowded, which made it even more enjoyable. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about the guest experience. The location is also perfect—close to everything in Islamorada while still feeling like a private escape. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or just a relaxing trip, this place checks every box. We’ll absolutely be back and couldn’t recommend it more!"

"We loved our stay, the staff was very friendly specially the 2 gentlemen that were in the breakfast. The hotel was very well maintained and peaceful. Our room was excellent the only complain I have is the A/C hitting our bed directly. But other than that I would stay here again."

"We had the best time at this little resort! Our villa was nicely appointed, clean, and comfortable. We went with our two kids, 11 and 9 years old. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The pool was warm but refreshing and the hot tub was hot and relaxing! You can “check out” fishing poles, bikes, kayaks and paddles boards. My husband and kids spent lots of time fishing off the awesome pier on the property. It was so fun! We all agreed that it was such a great place to stay. We would highly recommend!"

"Let me start by saying that this hotel has a convenient location, the pool will typically be yours during the morning hours and the marina staff and prices are very affordable compared to nearby marinas. It’s overall so cute and could be something really special with some minor updating and increasing staff. Now for things that could improve. Overall the property is dated and needs some updating. Pool towels are so thin and fraying. Additionally they are stocked as they should be. On two occasions I stopped at the office to pick them up and was told to come back in 45 minutes. Chairs at the pool are falling apart. The fabric at the seats is separating from the frame on 80% of the chairs. The pool area isn’t maintained. The same beverage cans sat on the ground during my entire stay. The stairwell in the tower is crumbling and there were huge chunks of concrete in the walking area that was not safe. Our ceiling in our bathroom was leaking which produced this gross brown stuff on the shower floor each day. They advertise having kayaks and paddle boards. There’s 2 kayaks and 1 broken paddle board. There’s no private beach! There’s chairs set up at the jetty’s that you can sit in but can’t access the water that way. The floor in our room was slippery like it had a film on it or possibly dim sunscreen that wasn’t cleaned off. The nightstand had a film of dirt on it that I thankfully was able to clean with the wipes I brought with me. I would not stay here again. "

"Dallas the owner of the site was awesome, he was always available to talk. My wife had her ear drum burst while scuba diving and he was able to give us great information from when he was a pro diver. I planned to rent a boat from his fleet but was unable to due to my wife's issue. That being said they are great looking boats and they are available at a very fair price. When we go back to the keys, we will be staying here again."

"Room was great! Didn't like the fact you could order food at their restaurant and take tour leftovers back but no way to warm them up unless you went to the front desk. Pool and hot tub were filthy with cups and fruit over the weekend and not cleaned til check out time Tuesday morning of course. The hour free with the kayaks or paddle boards was a really awesome perk. Restaurant was beautiful with nice seating, but prices weren't comparable to size or quality of some foods."

"We had an ocean front room in the new wing and can honestly say it was lovely. The staff were great, the hotel facilities were lovely and food and drinks all good."
