Central and ok, but needs an update….
Old room, need to be refurbished, very noisy fan in bathroom, slow warm water. Central place close to all you need. Very good service by all I met. Not the best value for money.

Lovely hotel, pity about the noise
The location was not so good for us as there was a nightclub nearby that didn't have soundproofing as we could hear the music and singing until it finished which happened to be between 2am - 3am, especially as they would choose the last song to encourage their clientele to sing along. Even though we kept the window closed we were still kept awake with the sound. We chose the hotel for the convenience of the location in relation to the railway station and the bridge over to the Brewery Wharf area. Guests should be made aware before booking that the hotel is based in a noisey area of Leeds. We found the staff to be pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable except for the noise.

Very outdated and being refurbish
Hotel was very old and in poor condition, room Was uncomfortable and smelt of damn. Hoping the news owners will sort it out!

It’s not 3 stars
If other hotels are a similar price, such as a Travelodge, Premier Inn or other place you’ve stayed before, then book those and don’t try here. Dated room, several clumps of hair in the bathroom. A carpet you’d rather wear flip flops on, a tv remote that looked like it had an STI. It’s just not particularly nice, better and cleaner are available at the price point.

Dusty, tired and miserable!
The hotel is tired and unloved, Check in was pleasant enough which sadly is where the pro list ends. The room was as I had anticipated from the reception area, dated and tired. It was also covered in thick dust, the table top was covered in sticky marks from cups. The tv remote looked like it hadn’t seen a wipe since the day it was put in the room, the bathroom was stained and unclean. On check out when I was asked about my stay I pointed out the dust and dirtiness of the room, the receptionist was rude, said they would speak to housekeeping but they couldn’t understand how the room was dusty. She then suggested the window had been left open. I’m not sure the dust can blow through walls into the bathroom from an open window.

Personeel is vriendelijk. Accommodatie zwaar aan renovatie toe, lekkages op het plafond, smerige douche en badkamer. Heel erg oud. Ook stonden de lichten etc al aan in de kamer. Persoonlijk vind ik dit zonde van de energie.

Great one night stay!
Maxine at reception was great when i tried to check-in (BEFORE 11am); sorted me somewhere to get changed after journey there, then room became available, so able to dump bag there and head off to the cricket at Headingly. She dealt efficiently with all my queries about travel to ground, somewhere to eat that evening etc. Thank you. VERY close to Leeds Central Station, just a bit tricky to find, with short-cut available down steps to the right of main exit/entrance to station. Will stay again if I retun to leeds for any reason.

A good place to base yourself
Looks like the whole place has had a coat of paint and generally it was very nice and clean. Only downside was some old mould on some of the tiles in the bathroom.

We booked in on Friday 20th august 2021 the first night was so noisy my son did not get to sleep untill gone 2 am in the morning we complained along with lots of other people in which we were moved to another room that was just as noisy, as much as I appreciate we are surrounded by nightclubs I didn’t expect this level of noise absolutely ridiculous i paid nearly £300 to stay for the weekend and certainly won’t be staying again!!!

I am sorry your stay was impacted by noise. Since the restrictions on local bars were lifted due to covid we have been impacted by noise levels we have never experienced previously and out of our control. We are closing in October when all our windows will be replaced with better noise insulation alongside a complete hotel refurbishment.

Hotel was lovely staff went above and beyond so helpful had a problem with the shower they moved us to a better room straight away only thing I was it was really hard to open the door to the hotel room with the key

Would stay again!
Very happy with our stay! The parking was literally a 1 minute walk away. We took our ticket to the reception and we paid for the 24hour parking there (£15.50 for 24hours instead of £27) The room was great, we was right next to the night club which we was a little worried about, but the music was turned off at a reasonable hour and we had no issues at all. The staff were all very friendly. We didn’t visit the bar but on the hotels part we were very satisfied with the quality and service.

Lovely stay lovely staff
We were greeted by a lovely lady, who made sure we had all information for local places to eat and car parks. We went out for food and came back for a drink and the bar man was such a lovely guy, so kind and very apologetic that he didn’t have the drink I wanted. Room was lovely and clean except for a dusty windowsill

Unfortunately the noise this weekend was not controlled by the local authorities as it should be. It was Pride weekend but due to the lifting of restrictions and new rules as a result of COVID, City Centre noise is a huge issue for all Hotels. I am sorry that this disturbed your stay with us.

Recommended for a night out in Leeds
Really comfortable bed, shower was incredible. Good facilties to hang clothes, close to everything in city centre.

Kommer tyvärr inte tillbaka hit
Hotellet är uppköpt och ska tydligen renoveras. Personalen har till stor del fått gå så de som är kvar får dubbel roller. T.ex är vaktmästaren också receptionist. Man har stängt restaurangen så i stället för riktig frukost fick man en liten påse med en liten juice, ett mini äpple, en yoghurt och en granola bar. Hotellet är väldigt slitet och vi hade dessutom oturen att få ett rum mot gatan där det var ett fruktansvärt liv dygnet runt.

Decent enough hotel. The restaurant wasn't open, which didn't effect us. We wouldn't choose to have the breakfast again. The room was good enough, quite a bit of light came through under the door, along with a lot of noise. Would have been nice to be able to turn the ceiling fan off, but none of the switches seemed to do this.

The hotel atrium was very smelly but the room was OK. Standard, nothing to write home about. Although they did have nice little accessories which was cool. Eye mask/ear plugs/cotton buds etc.

Surprisingly good.
Wasn't expecting much but this was a surprisingly nice stay. Yes the hotel is a bit dated but it was clean and everything you needed was provided. Room was fairly spacious, big telly, nice spacious bathroom. Cannot find fault. At under £40 for a room in Central Leeds on a Saturday night you really can't argue. Have paid far more for far less at other places in Leeds. Would gladly stay again.

It was central however dated bathroom no shower gel (Empty) in, shower head flooded the bathroom when I put on . Ceiling fan insecure and TV flicking imaged. The bed was super comfy. The carpet need to be changed as not only different color but in pieces got court and nearly fall down the stairs.

I've never left a negative review before but felt I had to after such a disappointing stay. My room was dingy - tiny, dark & absolutely stank of stale cigarette smoke. As I'm severely asthmatic I tried to open the windows (which were filthy) but really struggled, I don't think the windows had been opened for a very long time! Upon mentioning the problems with the room to the staff they did put a fan in the room but it didn't help so I asked to move rooms (another first for me!).The only room available, apparently, was adjacent to the nightclub ( as mentioned in other reviews), but I didn't feel I had an alternative so took it, despite the deafening music.(I considered being able to breathe more important than being able to sleep, not a decision I ever thought I'd be faced with when staying in a hotel!). During the rest of my 4 night stay I wasn't ever offered a clean towel, fresh bedding, tea bags, pedal bin liners or even toilet roll! On day 3 I had to ask for toilet roll (I'd run out of tissues by then!). The hotel itself is very run down & I do feel that the staff are doing their best in difficult circumstances. Never again though!

We are a none smoking Hotel and I am sorry that the room allocated smelt of smoke. This room should not have been let and I have spoken to the Housekeeper about this to ensure any room is ventilated if there is any unpleasant smell. Are window contract was suspended over the lockdown but our window cleaners are in the process of getting all our windows cleaned internally and externally. On arrival you will have been given a letter with regards our housekeeping services during COVID. Due to restrictions we do not automatically clean rooms and we ask guests to simply ask at reception should they wish to have their room serviced. We have a housekeeping on duty as normal and had we had know your room could have been serviced daily. We do not enter any rooms without the guests authority whilst COVID is still a threat to our guests and team. The hotel is due to be fully refurbished later this year and will be re-launching as a 4* property and I am sorry that you found the hotel run down. Sadly as a result of COVID all bars have licence to serve outside which is causing a number of noise issues and I am sorry that this disturbed you. I am pleased that the staff was one positive during your stay and I am very sorry that your stay was not an enjoyable one.
