Westend, Edmonton hotel rooms at the Independent

"shower barely worked, low water pressure, toilet barely flushed. Breakfast was limited"

"The waterpark room was super hot. The water in the bathrooms was like a gentle trickle, both tap and shower. The tap was either ice cold or very hot. The tv had very few, uninteresting channels. Very poorly taken care of building. For breakfast, the only protein was hard boiled eggs. Only fruit was apples. They had a limited amount of yogurt and muffins so they would run out and not refill. The only good thing was the waffles. Juice machine broken and no juice offered. Someone is running this on an extremely cheap budget and you feel it."

"Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was super lovely. Breakfast was quality and had a great variety. Gym had a far better variety of equipment than most hotel gyms. "
