“Nice place”

“Such a wonderful place. So very clean and cozy. Wonderful people. Unfortunately the bed was far too soft for our liking. If we are in the area again we would certainly stay there again but would call ahead first to see if the matresses were replaced. Other than the matress, I loved this place!”

“We stayed here for 2 nights in the beautiful silver Maple suite in the back with windows that looked out on the beautiful greenery in the backyard – – we even saw deer grazing! Carrie is the adorable Manager who makes blueberry muffins to die for for breakfast. This house has so much character and history! It’s location is wonderful, only 20 minutes from Lake Placid!”

“We booked the suite since we were a group of 5. The suite had 3 rooms so we would have been quite comfortable but due to change of plans it was just us 3. The hosts were warm and welcoming when they greeted us. Breakfast was lovely each morning, and they provided helpful suggestions for sightseeing. “We spent one day and night at this hotel. Beautiful view of the Whiteface mountains. Very home like atmosphere. Nice rooms with everything you need. Owner of the place very nice and helpful. Lots of toys for kids to play with. My 2 and 4 year old had a blast there. Huge living room with tables board games tv etc. I would definitely recommend it and come back there again.”

Our host Jeff was lovely, prepared a light healthy breakfast each day and always had a recommendation for our day trips. At first glance, the cottage was nicely furnished and neat. “Very nice B&B in a nice spot, very green, close to the lake, woods or you can simply enjoy the beautiful garden. Room was spacious, bath a bit small, very comfy bed, and a very nice host, who cooks great breakfast with organic vegies of his garden. ”

“We had a nice stay at the Mt Philo Inn. The hosts are so lovely and super accommodating. The East Suite is spacious and homey. It would be perfect for a family. We were given a perfectly curated basket with all the fixings for a Vermont breakfast which we greatly appreciated especially on this snowy weekend. The location is wonderful if you’re interested in hiking as you can walk right to the mountain which we loved. The hosts even supply sleds for a bit of winter fun! ”
