“The Ashville Guesthouse is a charming property just on the outskirts of Westport. The room was spacious, clean and quiet and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly prepared with something for every taste. The full Irish breakfast was excellent. Hilary and Oliver are exceptional hosts and make their guests feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B and will book again if my travels take me back to the area.”

“The Staff were nice. The breakfasts were excellent! The room was super spacious. Water, coffee, tea and cookie snacks always offered in room. King size bed was good. Nice property on a lakeside view. Nice bar/lounge area. Large and many lounging areas. Spa requires swim caps so bring one! They do sell them €3.50. Hot Tub was in repair stage. Did not use the spa or pool as no time and do not like swim caps…. Property is huge with lots a grass and trees. A 15 minute walk town area and 10 minute...

“Super séjour au Castlehouse B&B dans le Connemara ! L’emplacement est vraiment incroyable, en pleine nature avec une vue magnifique sur les montagnes et pas loin de la mer. C’est parfait pour explorer le parc national et les alentours comme Kylemore Abbey. Le gros point fort : l’accueil. John est extrêmement sympathique, toujours prêt à donner des conseils et à aider pour organiser les visites. On se sent vraiment comme à la maison. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent, copieux et fraîchement...

“Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. ”

“Staff were excellent, had an issue with room heating, health with it quickly and efficiently, no issues. I think it's equally important to rate a hotel not just on how well it runs but also how it handles any issues should they crop up. Would be happy to return on my next visit. ”

“The temperature of the pool was too cold as was the sauna. There was no body wash in the showers which you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Also the showers were cold in the evening but they were hot in the morning. We didn't have a good breakfast experience either. We had to wait 15 minutes for a table as it was very busy. However all the fruit was gone.and the bread and fruit juice. When our breakfasts eventually arrived some items were missing. Disappoiywith this supposedly 4 star hotel.”
