“Honestly this was the MOST perfect stay for a new forest adventure. i cannot tell you how special this place is you just need to go an experience it for yourself. Special shout out to ALL the staff, they were just as perfect as the room was. thank you thank you thank you. it was a dream.”

“Ok place to stay”

“OK room - no air con but understandable give the age of the building. Bed was OK, but traffic noise is noticeable, especially with the window open (remember there is no air con), so not the best nights' sleep. Staff were fantastic though, especially the breakfast server and the breakfast itself was great.”

“Characterful thatched inn in countryside location. Comfortable room & good breakfast.”

“Stayed here many times it’s good value nice place to stay with good food”

“It's cozy place. I wanna eat nice breakfast again. ”

“Excellent all around and lovely staff”

“The bed was clearly very old as the mattress was lumpy and had a ridge where people before me had slept. The fridge leaked on to the carpet even though there was nothing in there. The pub good was very good though”

“Nice place and perfect location”

“Room was very clean and well presented, with all expected facilities. Plenty of parking and welcoming staff. Breakfast provision was not clear when booking but was available to purchase each morning. Evening meals available at a discounted price and were very filling. These was some evidence of a historic water leak in...

“Nice place to stay over where you can enjoy a pint and a meal!!”

“Fantastic. Really need to keep that a secret!”

If I stayed for 2-3 nights, I would have added to the flavor of the trip by drinking beer or tea in the garden while looking at the wonderful view, steam train, and castle. I am so grateful for the...

“The hotel was further from Lyndhurst than I expected and although that wasn't an issue, it was further than I anticipated. This for us was the only downside to the stay. The room was cosy and comfortable and somewhat quirky. We loved its uniqueness. The hotel restaurant was lovely and we enjoyed our dinner there on our overnight stay. We would definitely stay again as it was convenient for a stop over before embarking on a cruise the following day from Southampton.”
