“Room was ok. Wasn't like the pictures on the site but the bed was large and very comfy. Floors were rather creaky so glad we were on the top floor and not on any of the lower ones. The staff were all lovely and the dinner and breakfast we had were very nice”

“Lovely small property with so much character, lovely staff and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The stairs are a little wonky, as others have noted, but if you don't mind a bit of a tilt, they are quite manageable!”

“It was fantastic! Honestly I cannot fault it, the only thing I’d suggest is a thin mattress topper so that you can’t feel the buttons on the mattress. Staff were lovely, everything in the room you could want. I appreciated the little bottle of semi skimmed milk in the fridge, and bottles of water!”

“Stayed two nights for a long weekend, perched on the edge of Highclere Castle for our visit. Quite close to the A34, but even though our room was on that side we had no traffic noise. Nice little room upstairs in the cottage next door. Breakfast was included and that was excellent. Also had two evening meals, sample photos attached. Chef is very talented. Would happily return.”

“Convenient but road is very noisy for a stay in Southampton for St Marys attendance. Bed was a little uncomfortable for someone who is 6'2" but facilities were clean and safe. Good to have free parking and overall about right value for money.”

“Good Convenient Hotel in Ryde, though slightly dated, all the amenities were present. The restaurant was good, we ate there twice. Some minor issues with windows and bed make up, but the staff were helpful in getting it all fixed. Was also given a free breakfast upgrade, which was appreciated. ”

“Out of the ordinary inn with a full restaurant and pub, includes off-street parking. First-rate menu with a good wine list. The rooms are surprisingly large, clean, modern and comfortable with every square inch of wall space covered with 18th-19th Century art and bric-a-brac. My room had both a full bath tub and a separate walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Within easy walking distance of the Cathedral. ”
