It’s not open. Booked in December, was never notified of its temporary closure due to a police investigation. Probably don’t stay there even when/if it reopens.

Just pay extra $50 and stay in a proper otel. Nothing is good about this hotel. Also there are security issue, since somebody was stabbed at the lobby during our visit.

The room we were given looked like it had been slightly renovated but it was not the cleanest room. There was no air conditioning in the hotel and the staff that was on gave me an uneasy vibe. Although there is reports of paranormal activity I’d have to say this was the least scary part of my experience there.

There was not Air condition in the whole building. The place was nasty. The security people was fighting with homeless people at all times.

This is a horrible place, dirty, stinky smell, creepy and getting downgraded. I checked out after 30m staying in the room, no air con, room super hot and dark. Old styled lamps created an creepy feeling, a deadlocked door led to nowhere also made me feel unsafe. Security did not stop outside people from getting in the main lobby. One approached me begging for money when I am waiting for checkout process at 1am.

I did not feel safe alone in this hotel taking the elevator. Also, the elevator had much of the wallpaper torn off and really needed to be vacuumed.

The worst experience I ever had with any outdoor stay. Stinking place No working vents in the Bathroom, Air conditioning in the room was broken & upon calling the front desk they refused to help. the room has hot water only & I have medical condition I only shower with cold water. But hotel was really unhelpful.

Everything was dirty.
The hotel was overall very dirty. Dirty lobby, dirty elevator, dirty hallways, dirty room and dirty pool. There were a half-eaten chicken leg in the elevator. We came abit early and told us that the check-in was at 3 pm, we came back at 3:10 pm and were told to wait because of change of staff. We had to wait to 3:30 pm to get checked in because of the staff were late for work. Why couldn't we get checked in by the staff that were there already? I think we were lucky not catching any disease from the hotel. But you get what you pay for, so if you want a dirty and cheap hotel smack in the middle of downtown Winnipeg, then this is the hotel for you.

What was supposed to be a 10 night stay turned into a 10 minute “stay.” Hotel looks nothing like photos! Mold everywhere, reeks of cigarettes, empty cigarettes cases and needles all over the hallway floors, bloodstained bed sheets, stained bathtub, and extension cords all across the floors. Asked Expedia for a refund but they stated the hotel declined a refund. It’s mind blowing because I don’t recall paying the hotel directly, I paid Expedia and would expect a refund from them and let them go after the hotel directly for their money back.

Advertised as air conditioned - broken. It was at least 10 degrees warmer in our room than outside on a warm summer night. Windows all sealed up so unable to open for fresh air. Very difficult to sleep due to heat. Brought it up to management and asked for a partial refund - they refused. Hotel also had garbage and cigarette ash strewn about in the 4th floor hallway where we stayed, very off-putting. This hotel advertises beautiful pictures but absolutely does not live up to the listing - stay away!

Stayed here because of its history. Very much enjoyed the architecture and historical photos in the building. Obviously, the hotel has seen better days. Staff was virtually non existent. Issues are too numerous to list however include: Single pillow was inadequate, no remote for TV, air conditioning broken, water temperature in shower swung violently from scalding to ice water, other guests were loud while having one hell of a party. Actually, hell is a fair description of our stay.

Room was filthy and broken down. Air conditionning was not working, it felt like over 40 degrees in the room. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, mole on the ceiling and much more. This hotel needs major renovation. Would not recommend this place at all!
