After arriving, my wife went to take a shower only to find no towels, once towels were retrieved, there was no hot water. Maintenance came to check out the hot water in the room (like i guess there was a hidden hot water tank in the bathroom?). He left, came back and said all tanks are working and maybe he was just used to the water being that cool?... so, no shower... upon turning down the bed, there was black hair in between the sheets! Needless to say, we slept very little as there was a train going by every 1/2 hour or so... when morning came, i checked the hot water again and still nothing! We packed up and returned the key to the front desk where we were told the hot water was turned up and they never heard of these types of complaints before... i booked 3 nights, only stayed for 1 and did not get a refund for the last two nights. We have traveled and stayed at some pretty questionable places and i can honestly say this tops one of the worse places ever! I would not recommend staying here.

The property was as displayed on the website there was a slight mix up with the rooms but the manger kindly sorted it out.

We booked the room for after a wedding and knew we wouldn’t be there long and it was a bed and bathroom to come back too. Unfortunately I didn’t expect to have only 2 very thin pillows and a sheet for a blanket. I highly recommend adding a few pillows and a much thicker blanket for your guests. My husband and I slept in pants & a sweater just to stay warm.

Long story short. I was traveling with my poodle. It was like I stayed in a kennel with my dog rather than my dog staying with me in a motel. I have pictures if you would like to see them. I suspect they have one nice room that was used in the photos I looked at when booking the room.

Dear Sir, We have specific rooms for animal lovers and they are few in town, as your complaint was about old air conditioner, heaters and standing shower we took cognizance of it, but we hope you enjoyed the nice clean comfortable bed, Flat TV rogers cable, Fridge and microwave which you can not find in a Kennel. Your stay was for 3 nights and you complaint at the time of checkout hope you had given us an opportunity to move when you checked in.Best Regards

It is an older motel which has been renovated. The reception clerk was helpful and respectful. The air conditioner was loud, the wifi was difficut to access and unreliable. It is the only motel i have stayed at which requires a physical checkout to recover the damage deposit. The checkout clerk's people skills were lacking to the extent of rudeness. I won't stay there again, I don't recommend anyone else to stay there either

There was only half a roll of toliet paper in the bathroom... ran out halfway through the night... one set of towels when it said two guest were staying over night. Room was freezing. The heat wasnt on and had to wait a while before the room was warm after we turned the heat on. Wifi password wasnt listed in the room. Tv programs were displayed small on the tv and i reserved this room days before stayed.

The old thin blanket I doubled but still wore my clothes for warmth. The towels are old, thin and scratchy. The walls are paper thin. The door lock is not safe. I would never stay there again.

U booked a smoking room online and we showed you, after showing an option was given to upgrade to non smoking for a small fee which you completely declined, but no complaint was received for any filthy linens which could have been addressed right away. We Will be more cautious in future towards our cleanliness.

Very basic unit but liked the proximity to town. Liked the price. A lady, perhaps on the cleaning staff, very friendly and helpful with extra towels and getting on to internet. Our 1st impressions should be discounted. It was a comfortable stay.

Proximity to 401 and Woodstock were a plus. Lack of a coffee machine which has become a standard was disappointing. It was a bed for the night.

The manager was very friendly and went out of his way to take care of our needs. When hearing that I was a paraplegic, he made a run out and purchased a sturdy shower chair. Helped us with many smaller things as well. The beds were very clean and COMFORTABLE. One was extra firm, and the other was semi firm with soft top. We both slept like a dream.

Not refundable cancelation
My paypal account was charge even after cancelation. Im not a happy camper this really sucks. I did in fact cancelled at the correct time and date for cancelations and still was charged for this room. I dont recommend this site for anyone that needs to cancelled a reservation this is taking advantage of people who need to cancel. I call the hotel and they said that hotels.com charged me for the room that was never used. Im really disappointed in the service and policies. They should be changed as noone can afford to pay for a room the wasnt used. I will not be using this site again because of the cancelation policies. One paragraph says i can cancell the room before 6pm the day before which i did the orther paragraph says payment is non refundable. Im so dissappoint as i cancelled because my granddaughter was coming to visit i didnt know this before i booked a room and my friend in Woodstock told me to cancelled because of the reputation of the motel. Please be aware of cancelation policy. I book through the site trivago i will never use this site again. This is such crap and i just want a refund for the room that was not used.

Room 8 looks like a room from a horror movie. Smells like an ash tray (also looks like one). there's so much cigarette tar on the walls that the baseboard heaters are causing it to burn.Tried uploading pictures but keeps giving me errors.

Good Location
Tulip is a no frills motel, but a good place to stay as one goes across Ontario. There are nice family restaurants in town. The motel is not far from route 401 and is easy to find.

Very clean. Very quiet. The owner was great, friendly. Location was great we we're close to anything we needed. The downfall is the room only had a stand up shower, tub would have been nice. The mattress was old and saggy. Recommend new ones. Besides that we would stay there again!!!

Shower is a little teacup. The breaker got overloaded when I was blow drying my hair. I had to call front desk for them to switch it back on. Ac is window unit coveted by curtains so it's either open them to be cool and lose your privacy or keep them closed and be got. Curtains tattered

Tulip Motel, Woodstock....good value for the price
3 nights....owner was very nice....we had a construction crew in the adjoining rooms and they were very good neighbours but did get up earlier in the morning than we had to. The renovated rooms were very nice, but some repairs are needed on the walkway/steps in front of the rooms. It was early in the year and the grass had been cut, and it was too early for the flower beds to be planted....we did have a tulip and a couple of rose bushes in front of our unit. A small picnic area was available.

Beds were clean... very low budget.
Bed was comfy,had to call front desk to figure out how to work the tv, check in girl was friendly and helpful. Room needs a serious makeover and paint job. Will go somewhere nice next time.

Wouldn't return.
I called ahead so I could have a newly renovated room with a kingsized bed, when I got there they said they gave it to someone else. Instead they gave me a room who's front door was a challenge to open, with two double beds, wholes in the walls, ciggarette burns everywhere and a shower that was an extreme challenge to use. Needless to say I was unimpressed and the pictures were very decieving.

Cost effective good stop over... I will reutrn.
The reception was friendly and accommodating. The motel is in the process of being upgraded to current standards (new bathrooms fixtures and equipment, new floors not rugs). When they move to a none spring wire mattress on the beds I will miss the flash backs to my youth (circa 1950). As with most hotel/motel facilities there is a shortage of available electrical outlets. Over all as a short stop over for room only this is a very good and cost effective facility to which I would return next year.
