You can tell they are slowly working on the place. The carpets were pretty new Linens were clean, but the place is old and comes with old hotel problems. Our sink struggled to drain, but for the price I felt clean sleeping in the beds just wouldn’t call it a nice hotel.

I don't plan my travels so never know if or where I will spend the night. After stopping at a rest stop about 10 miles back to let my dogs out, I realized I had to get some sleep. A quick check led me to Luverne, Minnesota, and this Super 8. I booked it online as I was walking in the door. Check-in was easy. The staff was friendly. The wifi worked for teaching the classes I had to teach. And I couldn't wait to take a bath in a tub because I don't have one at home so always make a point of doing that. My stay was great.

Property dated and somewhat poor repair. Room was clean and staff was friendly. However staff tried to enter room while I was in the shower. No knock or announcing themselves. Also somebody was up and down the hallway all evening engaged in loud conversation. Somewhat disruptive.

Be sure to return your key card

The age of the hotel shows but the staff is great! Breakfast room is tiny with just three table and nine chairs but it’s clean and stocked. Looks and feels run down but was fine for an overnight. Towels are very thin and rough. Despite the rundown every staff meme we we encountered was very friendly.

The front desk lady was friendly and helpful. The key cards for the room took some time to work but eventually got in the room. There was no hot water in the bathroom so I was unable to shower. The bed was comfortable and the heater worked great. Still not sure if I'd stay here again or not

We arrived late (2AM) because we were delayed by weather. It took almost 20 minutes to get someone to the front desk to check us in. She was helpful and friendly. We walked into our room and there was a distinct "damp" smell. The carpet was sticky and damp everywhere, especially by the air conditioner. The refrigerator didn't work. There was no milk for cereal for breakfast. The bathroom had dead bugs in it and we found love beetles crawling in the room. We had no bath towels. I lost a headphone and we found a bag of half-eaten cheese slices and a sleep mask from a previous guest behind the bed near the wall. While the main carpet was clearly vacuumed you can tell that they didn't move anything to vacuum near the bedframes because there were food remnants from previous guest(s). The TV didn't work (they had just replaced all the tvs from what the desk clerk said) and it wasn't set up yet or tied to the wifi. The vending machine didn't work. The beds were mostly comfortable but the overall lack of cleanliness. For $100/night the bare minimum I expect is to at least have a clean room that my family can take their shoes off and walk around barefoot in and this missed the mark.

Had to evict a few spiders from the bathroom including one in the shower. This place definitely needs to be updated. The ac unit was really struggling. If you just need a place to crash for the night and nothing fancy it works. Beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was very limited but waffle maker and biscuits and gravy. Cereal and apples.

First the positive. The girl who is on duty 24 hours a day does a really good job. She was willing to help with any request. As far as friendliness from staff, I would give it two thumbs up. But, the property is very outdated. Bed spreads and carpet were stained, the tub had a crack and rust spot about six inches in diameter, the molding around the room was peeling, table tops in the room were warped, some of the towels were stained, and the room had an unpleasant odor. It was one of the most unpleasant stays I have had.

The property was very clean. It seemed they were short on staff. My main complaint was the breakfast service. They had dry cereal, but NO MILK to use with it. The supposed orange juice was undrinkable. All this was true all the days I was there. Very nice town, however.

was a good bed and quite, air didn’t work very well, hot water but bad pressure, clean bathroom, room smelled real musty but they gave me air freshner when I asked,it help out,, will stay some else next time
