"Great, helpful staff very pleasant in their approach. Breakfast was good one improvement would have been fried tomatoes. Lounge area was good. Perfect location for the Barnsley area and surrounding features. Room ventilation could have been better because of the current climate."

"Great stay however the rooms were not overly clean. It seems housecleaning need to rush to get rooms ready and do a basic wipe over, but it is not really to the standard expected of a 4star hotel. Hotel staff were friendly and grounds and common areas were very nice. Food a little disappointing (plates hot but breakfast not). With some attention to detail this property would be really good 😊"

"The self check-in was easy, the room immaculately clean and nice comfy bed. Good value for money and I would stay again, thank you! Parking was bit limited around the back although I managed to find a bay just fine. One has to remember this is a public house so noise does go on quite late as you would expect."

"We had a fantastic stay at the Norfolk Arms. The pub, restaurant, and rooms have all been beautifully renovated, creating a fresh, welcoming atmosphere throughout. A huge 5‑star shoutout to Cameron. His hard work, excellent customer service, and genuine passion for hospitality made our visit truly memorable. It’s clear that tourism is in his heart, and he goes above and beyond to make every guest’s stay the best it can be. While the outside still looks a little tired, please don’t let that put you off. What matters is the experience inside — and that’s where the Norfolk Arms really shines. We will be revisiting."
