"The website claimed a "view." There was a "view," of the parking lot and the Atlantic Ocean some 200 to 300 yards away. The front desk clerk informed me that i should have been more attentive and selected "ocean view." Ooops, my bad. Next time I'll be sure. "

"Loved this place! I'm kind of picky about hotels. I can't stand a dirty smelly place. This place was very clean and comfortable. We stayed in it for a few days before heading to a family gathering. Then we booked it again for a night before leaving town. The second stay I guess I booked a room that was the last king bed and happened to be the handicap accessible corner room. It was way big and explained the slightly higher price. Even though a paid a little more it was a very restful sleep and nice stay before our flight back home. I will definately stay here again when I'm visiting family that live in Virginia Beach. I also didn't clue into the continental breakfast the first stay, but the second stay it was a great spread. Lots of seating that was clean and someone was there refilling food and wiping down tables. Parking was easy and close and the staff was very friendly."

"I'm not a hotel snob and have stayed in places worse than this and much much better than this. They had cereal, yogurt and toast (no peanut butter), coffee and tea for breakfast, and not well stocked either. The room was ok. I guess at my age, I get grossed out with carpet on the floor and peeking at the mattress, it was dirty around the edges. The shower was great a couple time and lukewarm other times. There were a lot of television channels to choose from, but no sleep timer on the remote. You have to pay $5 for a key deposit, which they return when you return the key. The AC was great. Despite the mattresses color, the bed was very comfortable. The price was great and for a place to sleep it was fine."
